Located in Northern California’s Mendocino County there is a skunk running through the redwood forest, but this isn’t any skunk, it’s the world famous Skunk Train. The California redwoods, pristine coastline, and award winning vineyards are all a part of the landscape of what makes Mendocino County such an amazing place and home to this 131-year-old train.

We came to Mendocino from Ohio for a wedding. We rode the skunk train twice in August it was just beautiful!
Took the rail cars out of Fort Bragg. Great way to see some beautiful country.
Had a wonderful Saturday ride leaving Willits. The train crew are pleasant and knowledgeable. All the staff are friendly. Am looking forward to trying one of their themed rides like Halloween or Christmas.
we had a wonderful time on the Mendocino coast & The Skunk Train 🚂 was definitely the highlight of the day.

We have been to Fort Bragg several times and this was our 1st trip on the Skunk train. We were lucky enough to be here for the Days of Steam! It was so fun to have the train pulled by a steam engine.
We took Skunk train out to Glen Blair bar. We had a great time what a cool experience taking the train out to the bar
It is a beautiful trip. I just wish the restrooms were not full to the top and cleaner. It’s a long trip to town.
Such fun! We took our adult children and our grandchildren. It was the first time for our grandchildren and we all had so much fun! We especially loved the new and beautiful recreation area that the train stops for 45 minutes. It’s a trip that everyone should experience at least once!
My mom and I had a blast and we can't wait until till we can go on the longer Skunk trail with the tunnel. They told us maybe 3-5 years but we will sure be back for that one. The games and trail was nice. Our two dogs even enjoyed the ride.
