This is the only company we have worked with that has demanded so much unnecessary documentation and information that goes to show that your client is only the company you are selling the loan to and not the buyer of the property. Ridiculous amount of info needed. If we can avoid working with BankSouth we will do so.

When the interest rates started to rise, no one reached out to me to give my options on how to proceed. I had to do my own research and call to get them to lock the rate before I was priced out. I understand the magnitude of people closing on homes at one time was great, but everyone should be made to feel like a priority.

Too much repeating the same documents. I know it's a lot of money the bank is taking a chance on but it's like there is no trust with customer.

Important deadlines were not communicated, the same documents continued to be requested although already provided and due to lack of communication my wire transfer was not completed until 20 minutes before closing. I am also very displeased with Natasha and my communications with her. I hope other buyers have a better experience as Bank South seems to be the preferred lender for most new construction in the area. Natasha Wallace had very poor phone etiquette & customer service overall

The precloser didn’t communicate enough to walkthrough the closing time line. And didn’t remind us when we have the chance to lower the rates by purchasing some points. When we realized this, it’s too late to make any changes. The team members didn’t take an active role to communicate with the clients, and sometimes it’s hard to reach and no one reply the email.

When purchasing a home there is a lot of last minute leg work that has to be done and money that has to be given. Many people who are purchasing homes have full time jobs and do not have the band width to abruptly leave to do some of the requested task at hand to secure their home in a timely manner because some if not all of these request are during work hours.

Better communication. During my closing week I was the one reaching out to my advisor whom turned out to be out in vacation, and I had to keep constantly asking the questions instead of being contacted or updated about the process.
