Communication is key. Emails sent to us had wrong information. We even were sent someone else’s documents with personal information on them.

It was extremely difficult to reach Laura I left messages after messages and she would not return my calls. My closing was scheduled for 1 day and I did not find out until the day before that closing was being moved. I was given several stories that it was due to Atlanta Housing or I did not send in necessary documents (some documents I provided at least 2 times) however Atlanta Housing explained that they received the request at the minute. Closing dates being moved is understandable - communication is the key.

Nic was really good about answering emails very quickly. I just didn’t interact with Laura very much during the process. But I think that periodic updates and reminders throughout the process would’ve been nice. A lot wouldn’t have gotten done in time if I hadn’t taken the initiative. So I feel like I had to provide a decent amount of my own customer service in order to close on time.

The first home I closed was in 3 weeks, the second was 4+ with what felt like a lack of urgency considering my information was on file from home #1. I understand I start over at that point but my family was displaced and I urged many times to complete closing sooner. If it was done once it could have been done again. I provided countless documentation that ultimately got rejected only to move forward w/o any of it.
