Disappointment. Food tasted as if it was a chain restaurant. Food was not well prepared. Calamari was mushy, Feta mushroom pizza had too much topping to crust ratio. (crust was a pita) Sushi appetizer was the only saving grace, that was good. Entree's are ok but nothing to write home about. Service on a Monday should be really good since there is no one there but service was lacking. Had to ask for our check. Would not go back. A real shame because we have been there before and it was good.
Food was good but portions not very big. Waitress didn't seem interested and took orders from one end of the table rather than walk around (we had a party of 9). Person at opposite end of the table had to yell out his order. Waitress commented on how much food that person ordered but forgot to order one of his sushi rolls. Bread wasn't refilled until we got a bus boys attention. Prices on menu higher than those listed on line.
We went to dinner last Saturday night (May 14th), and the reservation was for 7pm. We were seated by 7:10, and I was very excited for dinner. We'd been there once before (2 years earlier), and we thought it was great. Well, either they are severely understaffed, or it was everyone's first day, but we didn't get our drinks (water) for 35 minutes, and we finally got our appetizer over an hour into dinner. Tried to sit us in the bar without asking. Wife's skirt steak was like a workboot tongue (she loves skirt steak, so no it wasn't that she was put off by skirt steak's texture). My dumplings were NOT as good as frozen ones from trader Joe's. Her bang bang shrimp were good. My sea bass was great but the risotto cooked like shite. Decent wines, nice looking place but rocking loud. Def dead to us (and we are local).
Was there for a Mother's Day brunch.b don't think there was any quality food served. Display was poor. Omelette station lacked something. No accompaniments like breakfast potatoes. No dessert assortment, except packaged frozen puffs and eclairs. Had nerve to charge for a coffee. There should have been a better assortment of fresh fruit or bowl of fruit. No cheeses. Yucky bagels, no imagination on presentation. All in all would not recommend at all
Maybe they were just busy that night but all of our entrees were very dry. Had to send my filet back since it was well done. overall I didn't get the 5 star feeling I usually get here. Excellent wait staff as usual and we were seated quickly. 4 out of the 7 entrees needed something. if you spend $28 on grilled jumbo shrimp they had better be perfect but there were dry and unimpressive. otherwise another great meal there. My cosmo cocktail didn't even give me a buzz which is disappointing as it was my birthday.
steak was drenched in a horrible sauce that over powered it. chicken was only slightly better but still kinda dry and again the sauce did it no favors. also we were pretty much seated in the worst seats as servers kept bumping into us
I want to say that using Open Table was a great and convenient way to make reservations. We showed up to Thom Thom's, out of courtesy, 15 minutes early to our reservation to let the hostess know we were there and will wait by the bar until our set time. We patiently watched as about five other parties were seated before us. It was not until an hour and a half past our reserved time that we were seated. Sorry our food took over an hour to come out. The paella was watery my steak had tooooo much fat on it and the drinks had no alcohol in them.
