We had a 6:00 reservation for two and was told to wait at the bar for 15 minutes. At 6:25, I asked when we would be seated, as it was 25 minutes past our reservation, I was told they "weren't sure." We then waited another ten minutes and asked again. When they still did not seat us we left at 6:35, 35 minutes after our reservation, hungry and disappointed.

Although I had reservations and there were tables open I was told I would have to wait 10-15 minutes. After sitting at the bar for 10 minutes my party was sat at a table that had be vacant the entire time while we waited. Once seated we waited a while for a server to come and then there was a lot of time for our food to come out. We went for restaurant week so we had 3 courses. The food was good, no real complaints there.

food is always delicious. Service was exceptionally slow this past Sunday evening, 1/21/18. Arrived before 6PM and it was very crowded. Crowd dissipated within the next half hour but service was still slow. Very long wait between appetizer and main course.

We go to Thom Thom often and never have we experienced the poor service that we did last night. We brought friends visiting from Charleston, SC to Thom Thom last night because they like sushi and It's usually good. Service is never anything to write home about. We had a 6:30 reservation, we were seated by 6:35, our wine and other drinks were not delivered to the table until after 7:00. We didn't order appetizers, our meals were delivered at 8:03. Food prices were over priced for the quality. The service was very good. The Bang Bang shrimp appetizer was very good. The Shrimp entree tasted like iodine. The sesame crusted yellow fin tuna was mediocre. The entree's include bok choy which was very tough and a choice of mushroom or sweet potato rice which was very tasty. the food and the service were terrible. They got our orders wrong twice and gave the excuse that the cooks are all new. They also rush you to have Dessert even before you finish your meal. We would never go back there.

We're frequent customers of Thom Thom and we've always had a good experience. However, last night we had a very rude waitress Pat. From the moment we walked in she seemed annoyed that we were there for our 8pm reservations. We made the reservations for 2 people but it ended up being a party of 3. She made a comment about that (for starters), it was not busy for a Sunday evening but she made us wait for a table. this was the 2 nd time we were at Thom Thom the first time we came was BC we dined at Jewel I(In Melville) and it was great --we heard that the same chef owned Thom Thom ---NO COMPARISON ........at all we decided to give it one more try and see if it was just a bad night we found out that the same Chef once owned Thom Thom but it was sold in 2011 ..makes sense now the service was OK....the food less than adequate...not prepared with any real flavor .. the atmosphere ....BLAH...nothing new /exciting about this place we will n... read more
