We had 8:30 reservations but didn't receive our meal until 10:05. By the time the entree came I had nearly forgotten what we had as an appetizer. The service was way to slow. At one point we looked around the restaurant and only two couples were eating. When the food came my steak was well done when I had asked for it to be medium, and my wife's was done medium when she had asked for well done. I will not be repeating this restaurant.
In my reservation I made a special request for a booth. Although there were several booths available when I arrived, my request was denied. I noted that there were several other booths occupied by only 2 people (same # as in my party). We were seated practically on top of the couple next to us. We contemplated leaving but stayed. We have found Thom Thom to be inconsistent. We've had some very good meals here in the past. This visit was a big disappointment. The filet mignon was very poor quality. It fell apart into pieces. The manager was very nice and offered another filet mignon which was better but still had a texture that made us question what in the world I was eating. Sides were good as was the skirt steak.
We have been here about 4-5 times this past year and our experience has varied quite a bit. Sometimes the food is really great (i.e. special sushi rolls, perfectly cooked steak) and other apps and entrees are just not good (i.e. dry dumplings, greasy tasting calimari and shrimp). Same with the servers. We have gotten really attentive servers and very apathetic ones. Food is okay. For a steakhouse, they do not know how to cook steak. We had ordered four steaks medium, and they all came out very very rare. This has happened multiple times. Would not recommend.
We usually go at least once every other month to this restaurant but we were very disappointed at the 80 minutes it took to get our entrees at a fairly empty restaurant. The food is good; but not good enough to warrant typical average food times routinely of 45 minutes plus. For the money; there are better places with much better service and turnaround time.
noisy, waited almost an hour for [cold] appetizer's. another 30 min for bad entrée. watress didn't want to be bothered. save your $ and go to wendys. you will be happier
Two friends and I went here for restaurant week and I was not impressed. One would think that a restaurant would be putting it's best foot forward. Apparently not. The appetizers were ok, the entrees were mixed and the desserts a disappointment. One member of my group ordered the salmon on fennel. There was no fennel in sight. We went for restaurant week. Went with my wife It was first time there Place was not busy and was very very loud. Waitress could care less we were seated. Butternut squash and pear soup was very good filet mingion was very good dessert very small nothing great supposed to be apple crisp but it wasn't very good. We were not even offered coffee or tea. I don't think we would go again. Just wasn't what was expected
