I had always thought Timpson….obviously shoe repairs, watch batteries etc, but I called in on the off chance, initially maybe a year ago, with my 1960’s Oris…..the second hand had come off. I had tried prior to Timpson a couple of up-market watch shops, but they all either wanted big money to send it off, so here I am at Timpson in Newcastle under Lyme, & a great guy, Dave had a quick look at it & within 10 minutes it was done…..& I think it cost £10. Took my Dreyfuss watch into Sheffield branch. Movement found to be faulty as old battery still had a decent charge. As I live in Lincoln I took it into that branch to have it sent off for a quote for a new movement. I was very pleased and surprised at the quote, and readily accepted it. My watch was back for collection in just 17 days. So far it is working perfectly.
The Timpson assistant at exeter vale was really helpful and went above and beyond to sort out my granddaughters bracelet for repair unfortunately it couldn't be repaired but he really did try to get it resolved. Need more people like him. Don't know his name very polite.
Edgeware branch. Sent my antique bracelet to have it repaired. Simple job just a little screw needed to repair the link. Service there rather chaotic. The young woman there - alone and struggling with me and other customers. She was great. Cool and calm took all my details and told me it will be done in 5-7 days. Took about 8 days or so. Local jeweller said my ring could not be resized. Timpsons did this for me and back within 3 days absolutely 5 star service thank you so much
I took my watch to Timpsons for a battery replacement. However, once changed that was not the issue. I was told that they could have a go at repairing it. After a couple of weeks I received a call to tell me my watch was ready for collection. When I collected it, my watch looked like new - it had been cleaned, a new strap, and working perfectly. Definitely recommend Timpsons.
After a terrible service & quality of Rhodeium plating fro my engagement, wedding & eternity rings from H Samuel I tried Timpsons & have never gone anywhere else since. I've used them twice and received exemplary service & workmanship from the moment I hand my rings in until I receive them back.
