BUYER BEWARE Be very careful. Although the product description included compatibility with my printer, Brother Industries LTD has modified its software via internet to DISALLOW the usage of any cartridge other than a genuine Brother cartridge. If anyone knows of an absolutely sure way of overriding the software change, please post same.
$85 Down the Tube I just paid $85 for this Brother cartridge at BB. I laid out this sum because I kept getting a ragged-black line down the right with Lytek, EZ, & Kingjet cartridges for my Model HL-L2390 Brother printer. (Yes, all three.) Earlier in 2019, I needed a quick-cartridge after the generics failed. Then I paid-out $85 at BB, as well. Back then, the Brother cartridge worked okay. DID NOT WORK AS PROMISED I purchased this toner 10/24/2018 as a back up. I always keep a back up and they always have worked. I went to use this printer on 9/3/2019, it worked with light quality not the greatest for high yield. Then on 9/11/2019 my printer says LOW TONER replace toner now. I am very upset I paid $80.08 and it does not work. As a business you need your printer to work now I have no toner out $80.08. Had to over night another toner now I am out more $. Very frustrating. not a genuine toner Even though the box said it was a genuine toner, it was not. We have to take the toner out every time the printer is turned off and reinstall to get it to recognize the toner.

Too smart for its own good Plugged it in and the printer refused to recognize it. Took days of internet search to find a reset method that succeeded.
How to avoid this black line on every page This was my first ink toner that I purchased after the new printer ran out. Every copy has a 1/4 inch black line on the right side of the entire page ( for the past 500pages) what's wrong? I everything!
Wrong Toner Shipped I purchased a Brother printer (model HL2300D) and "compatible" cartridge from Amazon. I discovered today after the original printer cartridge's toner ran out that this replacement is incorrect cartridge. Now stuck with it. Past the return date!
Gross Incompetence? Unit arrived in Brother box and paid full price. Unit was in enclosed package but upon opening toner was all leaking. Then replaced it as instructed, step by step, and the printer said it was still out of toner. Tried every possible way for 30 minutes but to no avail. This is at best a 500 page printer then I guess you have to buy a new printer!
