Used to love this place was our go to restaurant. The menu has really not changed but the service was horrible. First the tuna I ordered medium rare came out well done then the waiter never even came over to check I had to flag the host over to bring it back. The waiter did not even show up to bring the new tuna out. No apology for the issue. The replacement took 30 minutes to come the people I was with finished their meal 20 minutes before I got my main. Food was less than mediocre. Considering the cost it was absolutely ridiculous. They offer 3 or 6 antipasto. We got 3. They brought them cold and shoved on a plate. When we complained, they put it into a microwave! Bread was cold and stale. They brought really pageant olive oil to dip. No vinegar. We decided not to take a risk with main dishes and went for dessert to ice cream place two blocks away. The whole experience was not worth money, even less - time. What a waste.
Tables were so crowded in in rear room, first floor that my chair touched l person behind me and was impassable for waitstaff. We could hear 100% of conversations to our left and right. What was once one of our favorites is unlikely to find us back. Very disappointing...
It was so loud and noisy and crowded! I could not hear my partner talking! The service was good at the start but dwindled. Coffee did not arrive with the dessert and then 2 coffees arrived for the same person! I was exhausted from all the noise. It was $ 170 for what? The waiter was pleasant but .......
The menu was different than what I had seen on the Google Maps version so that was a bit disappointing. What I got tasted really good, but unfortunately it made my stomach really hurt.
Terrible service & inedible worst beef I have ever had !!
Restaurant was so noisy it was hard to have a conversation. The food was okay but nothing special and the bathroom was filthy. We left without ordering dessert because it was such an uninviting environment and went to another restaurant for dessert and coffee.
Appt tiny amount Seafood Rosotto was mush and couldn’t find any seafood. Many years ago we were there many times and enjoyed...will not be returning
We visited this restaurant because it was recommended to us. However, we found that it was overrated. It was full, and noisy, which was an indicator that many people like it, but we found the food was overpriced and unadventurous, and not very good value for money. New York seems pricey to begin with, but the prices here are just plucked out of the air. The food was nice, but basic for the price.
