A once great restaurant is no longer. It's all about packing in as many people as possible, feeding them mediocre (at best) food and charging them an arm and a leg. soup came out cold, bread was cold, entrees were not hot either, had eaten there once prior and it was better that day. Prices are high do not feel it is worth the money.
Though it still does brisk business, with so many other choices in NYC, why go there? Service below avg (example, table still not bussed when main course being served), food potions small for price (example, ripoff veg app size joke), food quality was mixed (one person said horrible), etc. Hosts friendly at desk, but no one comes around to see how you're doing at table. Sorry, would not go back.
One of the saddest plates of pasta I've ever been served. Skimpy and tasteless.
Food was overpriced. My husband found a very long hair cooked into his food. I ordered the veal parm which was chewy and not tender at all.
The waitress assumed, as women, that we weren't worth the time. She kept disappearing even those the restaurant was, basically empty. A restaurant at that level should have been more attentive.
So sad to see a once reliable restaurant lose its charm.
An horrible “Italian” or so called restaurant in the heart of NYC.
They sat us upstairs
