The hosts are always friendly and welcoming notwithstanding having to deal with a very busy scene. The waiters are also adaptive and service oriented, giving you time when you need it. Alway try to drop in to Trattoria Dell'Arte for dinner once when we are in New Yrok.
place is predictible. Has not changed in many years. That is comforting. But, food just did not seem as good as it used to be...
Great good. Close tables. Great atmosphere but a bit noisy.
My daughter got the best Happy Birthday song performed by Trattoria Dell'Arte's staff. Thank you!
After the spectacular 125th Anniversary Gala at Carnegie Hall, four of us spent a delightful, leisurely dinner at one of our favorites. We had a variety of pasta dishes, all of which were excellent. I started with the Italian peasant soup, Ribollita. It is hard to find and it is very well done here. Desserts were also a hit: limoncello pie topped with creme brulee, tiramisu, cannoli with blueberries. Our server, Tipan, was outstanding: attentive, friendly, engaged and engaging.
Been to this restaurant many, many times. In the city on business 5 times a year for business for the last 20 years. Go to Trattoria dell arte once a trip. The anti pasta bar is the best. The pizza is excellent also. I have also had there veal, ravioli, and fish. All excellent. It is a fun place to go. We try and sit at the little antipasto bar when we go.
Boisterous Italian restaurant across the street from Carnegie Hall. Good food and abundant servings. Great service amid lively atmosphere.
Years go by, and this place is still happily reliable amid the craziness of Midtown West. The service was a little intrusive and pushy, enough that it needed some pushback, and dinner arrived too soon. However, it was quite good - the soft-shell crabs (special) and lasagna got especially high marks. Friends gathering for a reunion were allowed to linger after dinner, and we were seated in a corner - ideal for the occasion. I'm never surprised by the food here but always pleased, gratefully so.
Everything about our experience was great- the food, wine, service, and ambiance. We will certainly return when we visit the city again.
