Expensive but conveniently located close to theatres. 100 layer lasagna was very tasty.

Not sure if the kitchen was overwhelmed by superbowl fans but both our Veal entrees were not what we expected. The Osso Buco was not well seasoned and was not fresh. The antipasto choices were either under or over-seasoned, brussell sprouts dry, eggplant caponata salty; grilled asparagus was good. My guest comes from a family of chefs, veal was a miss. I think the pasta or chicken dishes would have been better choices they looked good. Decor is beautiful, people were having fun, lively conversations; we were on our way to a ... read more

Dined here Saturday night before attending a Carnegie Hall performance. Everything was perfection, from the service to the last bite of cannoli. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Dined here recently with my family. Food was very good, but the veal marsala was only ok/average. This was surprising to me since marsala is such a quintessential italian sauce that you would have thought they would have nailed it. Everything else was delicious, although overpriced which is pretty standard for midtown/theatre district. Also, although our server was polite, he did not check on us frequently enough, and forgot to bring something to fix our table which wobbled.

We ate here during a very cold week in NYC. The staff was very attentive to our temperature needs. We had appetizers and since we were staying around the corner and had the night free, we were in no hurry. Our waiter continued to be attentive but made us feel as if we could stay all night (even though it is across from Carnegie Hall so can be busy). He even brought us little bits of chocolate when we explained we were too full to order a dessert, then came a glass of Proseco. Too much! Very memorable.

The host makes everyone feel like you are long lost friends and that he is giving you a special table- you felt that way and he sat us right next to his station so we watched him do it all night long. Food was good but over rate a tad and the service was experienced but not in the least interested in anything other than themselves.

This is a consistently wonderful place to go when in Midtown NYC. A bit too crowded if you don't request a specific dining area. Food is fabulous and a always good. Terrific wait staff. Try the antipasta before your meal. The last time we were there free shots of lemoncini and complimentary oatmeal cookies brought out on cookie sheets from the oven we're give to diners which created a fun atmosphere. A must try restaurant.
