From the minute we walked in to the restaurant we knew we had chosen well. The location is perfect for theater or Carnegie Hall. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was as good as any dish we have eaten in Italy. The servings were plentiful. The wine list superb. I highly recommend.
Everything is wonderful there!
Great location across from Carnegie Hall, seated promptly, very helpful staff, attentive waiter, food was very good, braised octopus and calamari were very good, thinly pounded veal parm was huge and really good, overall great job
Food and drinks were very good - Our wait staff was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations. the drink selection was spot on - If you are in the neighborhood or looking for a nice place to have good food in Manhattan I would recommend this restaurant.
The chain of restaurants which includes Trattoria dell'Arte provides consistently wonderful experiences.
Delish and authentic!
Over the years whenever we are in NYC we have eaten dinner here and they have always been wonderful. This time it was disappointing. I always have the veal chop and enjoyed it. However this time it came to the table not hot, and it was tough and tasteless. The beet salad was not very good and the crispy artichokes also disappointed us. Sad to say , we may have to find another Italian restaurant for our next visit.
If you like to complain, don't come here. The food is delicious, fresh, well-prepared, and beautiful to the eye. The wines are a perfect complement. The service is attentive and unobtrusive; you set the pace, not the staff. The main room is peaceful and elegant. Eating here is like taking a short, satisfying vacation.
Perfect for my serious business lunch -- quiet corner, unobtrusive service and of course delicious food. Even management's freebie offerings of freshly-baked prosciutto muffins then, later; chocolate chip cookies were welcome and appreciated.
