I had lobster carbonara and my friend had seared scallops. "Oh my!" and "So good" were said multiple times during our meal. The ambiance was comfortable and elegant. I'd definitely eat there again!
We had great service and food was excellent. The chicken pepperoni pizzialo is fantastic!
We came for a festive occasion with seven people. It was a little noisy and our table was in a heavy traffic-flow area, even though I requested a quieter table. The service was a bit uneven, but the waiter gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco for making us wait, which was nice. The food was mostly delicious, especially the lobster carbonara and the soft shell crabs.
One of my "must visits" when I'm in NYC. Have dined here for years and always recommend it to friends. Love its neighborhood feel and the food is fantastic.
Our group had reservations very early, for supper before a 7:00pm show. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived and we were ready to order quickly. We ordered wine, a sampler of six appetizers, four main dishes, and four desserts. All of the food was nicely prepared and quite yummy. I am going to leave a more thorough review tomorrow, but holy cow, the food was very, very good, but what set it apart from other restaurants was the service. Sarah is an awesome goddess of a server. Sharp wit, honesty and candor can sometimes combine to become toxic, but not in this case. So wonderful. First day, three years...who cares she was an excellent and when we come back it will be due to the outstanding Ms. Crespo, who looks nothing like Tina Fey.
Found the place after seeing excellent ratings on Urban Spoon. Service and atmosphere was top notch - honestly the greatest service I had ever had at a restaurant. My wife and I forget our servers name but he was a tall skinny guy with dark glasses. He was a down to earth guy who was very personable. Terrific place to go if going to theatre or Carnegie Hall. A standby / favorite that never disappoints. You can count on it in every way.
I lived in NYC for over 22 years and went here more times than I can count. The food and service were was always consistently good! If something was on the menu that you remembering having before, you could be assured it will be the same.
