Have been there many times, never disappointed. Everything is quite good and prices are reasonable for Manhattan.
We dined here with our 9 month old baby on 12/26/11 and what stood out to us were the maitre d's. We unfortunately did not get their names but they were extremely professional and greated everyone as if they'd known them for years. We were seated next to their station (which was busy but okay because we had a baby) and lost count of the charming and welcoming comments that they made to every person they encountered. It made you feel like you were stopping into a friend's house for dinner. Bravo and I hope their employer real... read more
A very good meal in friendly and comfortable surroundings. Good well prepared food but not outstanding
Being Christmas it was very busy; some of the staff failed to show up for work; consequently service was slower than usual, but the staff worked well together and all in all it was an enjoyable meal. I will return and would recommend the restaurant.
Despite being very busy at a busy hour, staff from desk to waiter to bus men were all friendly and seemed in control. Restaurant's being divided into several rooms or areas makes it seem more intimate than it is, and has charm. Food pricing was fair. Soups were imaginative and extraordinary. Fish was a bit overseasoned, but we'd want to try it again before final judgment. It was a birthday (as opposed to its being Christmas) that brought us there on the 25th, and I was glad to re-discover it. Hadn't been there in years.
Superb service!! The food was excellent except careful eating pasta vongole since my husband kept biting on clam shell pieces. We loved the risotto and lasagna was delicious. Excellent appetizer selections.
Friendly staff and a buzzy atmosphere in this traditional Italian trattoria. The food is fine but not great, but the restaurant is cosy and friendly. The resident manager is very visible, welcoming and actively involved.
Friendly staff and good to very good food. The app "bar" where you chose what you want to sort of ala carte was different and very good. But even for NYC wow the prices were way out of line. The pizzas were good and very large and thin crust with sparse toppings for $30+ - wow. kids meatballs and spaghetti for $28 etc
I think the kitchen had a melt down, otherwise there is no reason for the food to be that poorly done.
