We were very impressed with Trattoria Dell'Arte. The food was excellent. I had the seafood risotto; it was great. My wife had a pasta dish and my son a duck steak; both were very satisfied. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was just right---some funky art work on the walls (we sat beneath a big breast!) and an exuberant ambience made this a fun and memorable dining experience. We had a reservation prior to a concert; we were seated promptly and the waiter made sure we were out on time, without rushing us... read more
This was my second time at Trattoria Dell'Arte and the food was as good as I remembered. I had the 101 Layer Lasagna, excellent! I was surprised that there were only a few servings left. I would never want to have that option unavailable! Our waiter was terrific. Not hovering, but there when we needed him. He recommended an excellent wine for us. We sat at the upstairs table overlooking the downstairs, quiet but still a part of the scene. My husband and I had a great night!
This was our second visit to Trattoria Dell'Arte. Unfortunately, the first time was much better. This time, they were out of their famous 101 layer lasagna. We were seated in the dining room upstairs, and the acoustics up there are awful. Very very loud and noisy. Our waiter was obviously overwhelmed, because our service was not that great. On our next visit, I will request a table downstairs for sure!
Trattoria Dell'Arte is one of my favorite italian restaurants. The food is always good/exceptional and service is great; always attentive. Some of the best pizzas in town too; we always treat as an appetizer. It can get crowded and long wait line, so best to make reservations or go during off hours. All and all, always a favorite and consistent. You really can't go wrong here.
I met an old friend and we sat enjoying conversation and good food for three and a half hours. I will definitely come again on my next trip to NY and recommend it to anyone asking me for great place with reasonable prices, very good food and friendly staff.
We have been to Trattoria Dell'Arte a few times now as perfectly positioned for a pre- Carnegie Hall theatre. We sit at the Antipasto Bar, order some things to share and a few wines, and very happy. The pizzas are also amazing. Huge, but beautiful thin crust. We will be back!
One of our favorites. Fabulous as always.
Every time we arrive in nyc we head straight to Trattoria dell'arte. It is fun, and the food is great.
I love this restaurant....we go there several times a month while we stay in New York. So friendly and consistantly great! Have the veal chop!!!
