Nice store but their prices are ridiculous, even for specialty store. Cashiers are way too slow too. Bring back the Cannoli Plus boxed cookies!!!
I shop at this particular location all the time for many years. I decided to bring my cousin down to get a cup of fresh brewed coffee and to shop. As I have been going there for years. I know that they close the coffee department at eight o'clock. I got there at 7:45 pm. There was no one behind the counter so I waited thinking the woman stepped away for a minute.. 10 minutes go by and then I went up to the front desk and spoke to Santiagel the store manager. Ordered 'catered' food for family get together...Very disappointed in the delivery, quality and trays they sent!! Penne alla Vodka was dry with no sign of the creamy vodka sauce you have in store on your buffet table!! Chicken Francaise was dry and had very little sauce...ordered Italian Meatballs from catering menu..not only were MB delivered 'COLD' (like just out of fridge) they were COCKTAIL meatballs NOT the Italian meatballs on your menu!! Nice precooked food and butcher. But they do not know how to prepare for a sale; certainly not Massapequa. Anniversary Sale NT Strip Steaks; Out Of Stock. Rotisserie Chicken; Out Of Stock with 1/2 hour lines way down the pickle aisle. Customer "Service" kept saying "they will be out in 5 minutes"; in 20 minutes they came up with 6 chickens for the 20 odd waiting in line and the wait would continue. Not me; I did not bring a chair. Their Anniversary Sale touted Bone In Strip Steaks. Out of stock. Roaster Chickens were out, and the line for them went straight down the pickle aisle waiting 1/2 hour only to find they bring out 6 for the big line. This place started out with a bang. We were pleased with our purchases. As time went by, the quantity and quality shifted. More money , less quantity and less quality. The bakery is not even mediocre, we tried a few things and nothing was not great. A pound of biscotti shoved into a small bag paper bag.couldn't even close the top. The pastries were soggy. The prepared dinners started out as a family of 4, I guess they assume you have small children that would only eat 1/2 a chicken cutlet because we got 3 pieces. They have g... read more
