It is a great store, but this review is about their catering service. With a large crowd coming for Thanksgiving, we elected to get the Uncle's help. I can say it was amazing. We ordered sushi, string beans, grilled vegetables and a tray of lasagna. First, every dish was outstanding. The freshness and great taste was positively commented on by each guest. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are okay, rather on the expensive site, but it's worth. The transition from Turco's to Uncle Giuseppe's was a success. Congrats.
Love UG's!!! I have been to several of them and they are always clean and helpful. My favorite is Maria of the deli department in the East Meadow location and Danielle of Catering in the Smithtown location. Maria is always working hard and she really handles the pressure of Super Bowl Sunday better than anyone. With Daniele whether it's a last minute order or a pick up order she is accurate, focused and acts like it's not her first rodeo! Great food and great staff. You can't go wrong!
Please Please open an Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in Maryland!! I promise to be your best customer! We were visiting Long Island and my cousin recommended Uncle Giuseppe's as we wanted to stop and bring home some good Italian cookies. WELL we ended up buying a cooler and coming back with all sorts of meats, cheeses and pastries! This one is huge compared to the one in east meadow wear you an barely get a cart down the isle at that one. This one you will have no problems with room. They have a sushi bar in the front and a pizza place then you have the deli which takes up almost the entire length of one side of the building which has almost anything you can think of in it. Been here a few times since the changeover from Turcos, and there are some positives and a couple of negatives to report thus far. Plus Side: The mozzarella is much better The staff has been very helpful, as things have moved and directions are needed The good things about Turcos have not been undone (like breads and seafood) The meat selection has increased and been relocated to opposite the butcher counter, a much more sensible location Buts: Prices for everything increased, most by $1 The chicken pot pies, which were... read more
The steaks and chicken and prepared foods are good but the bakery is awful I've ordered 3 to 4 items there every item is disgusting the fruit tart chocolate cake muffins cookies they're all garbage absolutely disgraceful that they even sell this way overpriced and it's disgusting I don't know what they're thinking the chain is run very well except for this part they should sub it out to someone who can actually cook something decent for prepare dessert
