Staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. I have taken out kayaks for one- and two-hour independent jaunts up the Cape Fear several times, and it is always a fun, peaceful outing, and every time I've seen an egret, nutria, deer, turtle, or some other wildlife. The staff never fail to ask how my trip went when I bring the kayak back and to chat for a minute about what I've seen on the river. Overall just seems like a professional and chill outlet. Hoping to try one of their whitewater rafting trips eventually.

Staff was great. Very enthusiastic and friendly. We had to reschedule later in the day and they accommodate just fine. We saw lots of wildlife (turtles, snakes, etc.) The only thing I will mention is that if you are kayaking, I think it's best to do it on a sunny overcast day. You are paddling upstream and it can get quiet hot and tiring. Still loads of fun!

Love, love, love! I've already reviewed this on TripAdvisor, but my husband and I love renting single kayaks from here and journeying through the Cape Fear! It's a beautiful landscape, and if you go on a weekday morning, you can escape most of the heat and fellow visitors for a peaceful, and relaxing adventure.

We planned a Mother's Day tubing afternoon, party of 9. Ages from 10 to 60. We had a beautiful day on the river, stopped on riverbank for a few, then resumed to ending point, approximately 3 hours. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Shuttle service returned our group to the starting point efficiently. We will definitely repeat this. First time canoeing and it was the perfect experience! We were the last customers of 2020. The staff was super chill and the location was great. The river was peaceful. Will definitely come back!

Very accommodating! Opted for the easy river float. Had never tubed down the Cape Fear River before but was very pleased at the space, tube selection and absolute fun we had using this service. Definitely wear shoes due to the Rocky river bed. We were able to make a 3ish hour float easily last 4.5 hours. So much fun!

Fun trips and great service. The folks here are welcoming and informative. The quality of the rentals are well maintained. We enjoyed launching into the river from Cape Fear River Adventures!

Such a fun adventure! It was so reasonably priced for a 2-person kayak and the water was so clean. They helped us into the water and made us feel comfortable on the river. Once we came back in after two hours we turned in our life jackets and they handled the rest!

We enjoyed kayaking down the river on a beautiful August day. I went with a group of friends and we all had fun. The experience was easy- registration, payment and wavier sign was all done online. We arrived, checked in, and were promptly kayaking. We visited during corona- so masks while checking in and during the safely brief. If using their transport they also ask you to wear a mask on the bus. Fun, outdoor company and activities.
