the salesman came out this morning was very knowledgeable about product. He was pleasant to talk with gave good information. Windows seemed to be high quality and look nice just may be a little to pricey at this time. Overall a good experience.
The windows that were installed are great. However that's the only positive I can say. I wasn't home when the windows were installed in my room but when I came home my bedroom looked like a tornado came through. The installers moved my bed, nightstand and totes that were at the foot of the bed. They put the bed back but the footboard was at an angle that I had to straighten out. We had a new roof put on in July of 2016. First, let me say the financing with them was pathetic! We went round and round trying to say the price we were quoted was no longer valid and it was. They only agreed to honor it after a three-way conference call with Green Sky (finance company) a company they use, Universal Windows Direct, and myself. I didn't even use their service but I emailed them my contact info to get an estimate for a front door and rear sliding glass doors. A lady called me back this evening to schedule the appointment but would not continue (or schedule) unless I told her my wife would be here at that time. When I said that wouldn't be necessary she just reiterated that both of us must be here. That tells me everything I need to know about this compay. I am very dissapointed in the windows that were installed. The windows are mostly frame and little glass. In some windows I lost more that 50% of the light from before. I am going to have to replace this one again. I was not informed of this fact prior purchasing the windows and will not buy widows from this company again.
Our windows are great...however, I gave them our info 2 years ago this week for their presentation. We got new windows through UWD in October 2014. I am receiving a call at least once a week from different numbers asking me if I'm still pleased with my purchase...or asking if we need any further work done to our home. I have answered time and time again, YES we are pleased with our windows, and NO we do not need anything further done to our house...if we did, we would never again contact UWD because their sales people aggrav... read more
A representative with Universal Windows Direct just called to confirm my appointment tomorrow for an estimate to install a side access garage door. I told her that the slotted time of 9am tomorrow would be perfect. She then asked if my wife would be present during the visit. I told her no she would not be present, but my wife and I have discussed the door and my wife is fine with me handling the door selection myself (I'm a big boy). I wish there were negative stars. Severe lack of professionalism. Thankfully we ended up cancelling our order with them but it has been a pain to receive our money back from them. We have made several attempts to contact someone and nobody has returned my calls. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. They are an awful eatablishment.
