Get directionsI'm not sure how to rate a place like this. Many people that come here are in awful situations. Many are elderly struggling with illness. Many are terminal. The system is broken at this level in our healthcare. Workers are under paid and they have to deal with death and suffering everyday. I'm sure these places are equally awful but this one is the worst. My father in law was admitted 2 days ago to an END OF LIFE bed. Meaning he is dying. Was told maybe 14 days, chose to die with dignity instead of slowly drowning from fluids in his lungs from lung cancer. This was all decided before transferring him here. They are supposed to be giving him drugs on a consistent basis. The doctor told us we would have to demand the nurses given him his drugs which we have had to do almost every single time. Well, I'm home! Was so angry I left this facility several days after I arrived. They placed me in a room so small that my potty chair was one foot from hallway, the other roommate had to have EVERYTHING (wheelchair, walker, chair, bed table) removed so they could wheel her bed out for test to be done. There was no cord attached to the light over bed, no where to plug in cellphone or IPad, no room telephone. Vasona Creek Healthcare was a nightmare. My stay was following an amputation surgery. I was transferred to the facility directly from the hospital. The room I was placed into had 3 beds. The room, however, was designed for two patients. There were two TVs and the controller for my bed controlled the TV for one of the other patient's TV in the room. During the 20 or 21 days, I was a patient at Vasona Creek I had only 3 staff members that were exceptional. Sadly 2 of the 3 staff members worked Day Shift. The last staff member... read more
Unless you are sending someone in good health, and only for physical therapy, find an alternative. -The Kaiser liaisons are not trust worthy and have convenient memories. If you do use Vasona, get every conversation with the local Kaiser reps documented and then go over what you captured with them. Document everything so to avoid 'he said, she said'. - They misdiagnosed my mother with an infection that sent her to the ER, and after 3 days concluded the original test was tainted. -Put my mom in diapers because it was more ... read more

DON'T BE FOOLED by the 3.5 yelp stars. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place. Don't be fooled by the cheery receptionist welcoming you there. Don't be fooled by the fountain in front or the nice tour. It may look pretty on the outside but it's ROTTEN on the inside. My mom was transferred there on Thursday afternoon. If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. Perhaps, if you are only going for basic physical therapy, this place might work for you, but if you are in need of nursing services, I highly suggest steering clear. It is important to know, that despite being designated as a nursing facility, there are no actual registered nurses here, the place is run by LVNs. The most important thing about choosing skilled nursing facility, is why you are going and what you can get from it. My Dad was 89 years old with dementia, he never should have been admitted. When they found he could not cooperate with PT, they should have told us and sent him home. The RN called me the first night and said my Dad was trying to go home, and asked me if he has dementia? I don't have a lot of experience with senior care facilities, but this one appears to be the same as others I've been to before: employees scrambling around constantly putting out fires and not a lot of personal care being provided to the residents - it's basically a survival situation for everyone involved. This is certainly a plush building with the appearance that they seem to be providing a higher level of care, but I can tell you from our experience that in reality, this is not the case.
