I feel terrible for the patients assigned to this place. The personal is either or both insensitive and overwhelme. Patients call for help multiple times and they are ignore. Even if patients that are in terrible pain have to wait "for hours" if they're not forgotten or ignore. I'm very sorry for people that have stay at this place. I felt depressed visiting a relative at this place. Many patients dont have choice but management should be better to care for their patients "customers".

Please do not send your loved ones here. Especially if they are suffering from a cognitive impairment. This was the third and final SNF (skilled nursing facility) we had to place my mom in after a yoyo of Kaiser and other SNF. She was visually and cognitivly impaired. My mom nearly died in my arms here. The nurse over medicated her. Her blood sugar was crashing by the time I got them to check it was 25. The nurse denied her error. The EMTs raised her blood sugar. WARNING I highly DO NOT recommend!this is a horrid horrible place!!! After my mom got a hip replacement at good Samaritan hospital they sent her to Vasona Creek health center for rehabilitation she wasn't sick with Covid until they put her in a room with Covid patients and ignored her!!!she went out of there in a body bag‼ they highly ignored my mother, I know this because I talk to her on the telephone every day, up until the day she died!!! They don't care about their patients all they care about is the money they receiv... read more

Terrible My husband almost died there he is diabetic and they did not watch his sugar level. It went down to 30. Their food is garbage, and their service is poor

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY. My brother was sent to Vasona Creek after a lengthy stay in the hospital. In less than a week we came down with COVID. I tried calling for 3 days and was not able to get in touch with my brother. They said he was in his room and they transferred me to social services. I left 3 messages and nobody ever called my back. A friend of my brother finally went to Vasona Creek. They told him what room my brother was in but he has not in the room. Non of the staff knew where my bro... read more

My mom had to go to rehab/ skilled nursing to strengthen her left leg in order to use her walker more easily (BCS of pain in her left knee ) other than that she was perfectly fine physically. That was back in February 11th 2023, since that time of being there she got COVID, multiple UTIs, pneumonia, and laxative poisoning!! Updating my review from my prior submission. I cannot stress enough to please evaluate other facilities before this one. Their business practices are deplorable - to the point of potential legal action being taken. When trying to contact anyone at this facility (numerous times over a number of days at different levels) to discuss the matter there have been no return phone calls. Can you possibly give negative stars here??

I just got out of Vasona Creek today after being there for several days recovering from a fractured pelvis. They had put me in a room with a guy who had a bad cough. I started getting a cough last night. And took a Covid test as soon as I got home and tested positive. I can't believe they put me in a room with someone who was obviously sick and why the heck didn't they test him. Beware putting one of your loved ones in this facility

My mom is here. She has Covid for 2nd time. They leave recordings on how many there have Covid and to call for updates. When you call, no nurses available and they have not returned my 4 messages at the nursing station. Called back and was transferred to social worker, no call returned. Mom had a rash, finally prescribed cream, one shift applies it, then next doesn't. Communication issues? Is this the way all nursing homes are?
