Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. My mother stayed here two years ago before she passed. She was physically assaulted by a night nurse. We filled out a police report and they still assigned the nurse to her room a week later. When she was transported to Good Samaritan hospital, she had several bed sores that were documented by the staff there as well streptococcus. There were a few nice people who did work there and were good to my mom, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to outshine the rest of the negative ... read more
Not a very professionally ran medical establishment. At other SNFs you are welcomed by the Administration team and DON and given business cards to reach out if any concerns. Vasona Creek does not greet you. Nor do they inform you who makes up their Administrative team. You do not see business cards on the front counter. When you do ask whose in charge or to speak to manager they give you a card to a Admission Director who is not know to the staff. Very suspicious and scary, so who is running this place? I would agree with the last review. This place is a joke you can't get a hold of anybody . They point the finger at each other and say it somebody else's responsibility ! It's complete and obvious neglect!!!!!!I do not recommend this place for your loved ones. I repeat, do not send your family here. This place should be shut down. WARNING!!!! Please do not send any loved one you care about to this place. The lack of care is criminal. The facility is run down and dirty. They have one nurse on staff on each floor and there are 2 floors. They hold 148 beds at this facility and If there is an issue the either ignore you or blame someone else on staff. My dad had a stroke and the had to have a special diet so he would not choke....4 different times they brought the wrong food so they took it away and did not give him anything to eat or drink. Care quality very poor on night shift. No one available on the entire floor for over 30 minutes except for a nurse busy with medicines

I feel terrible for the patients assigned to this place. The personal is either or both insensitive and overwhelme. Patients call for help multiple times and they are ignore. Even if patients that are in terrible pain have to wait "for hours" if they're not forgotten or ignore. I'm very sorry for people that have stay at this place. I felt depressed visiting a relative at this place. Many patients dont have choice but management should be better to care for their patients "customers".
Please do not send your loved ones here. Especially if they are suffering from a cognitive impairment. This was the third and final SNF (skilled nursing facility) we had to place my mom in after a yoyo of Kaiser and other SNF. She was visually and cognitivly impaired. My mom nearly died in my arms here. The nurse over medicated her. Her blood sugar was crashing by the time I got them to check it was 25. The nurse denied her error. The EMTs raised her blood sugar. The staff couldn't even locate the proper supplies to do so... read more
WARNING I highly DO NOT recommend!this is a horrid horrible place!!! After my mom got a hip replacement at good Samaritan hospital they sent her to Vasona Creek health center for rehabilitation she wasn't sick with Covid until they put her in a room with Covid patients and ignored her!!!she went out of there in a body bag‼ they highly ignored my mother, I know this because I talk to her on the telephone every day, up until the day she died!!! They don't care about their patients all they care about is the money they receiv... read more
Terrible My husband almost died there he is diabetic and they did not watch his sugar level. It went down to 30. Their food is garbage, and their service is poor
