Updating my review from my prior submission. I cannot stress enough to please evaluate other facilities before this one. Their business practices are deplorable - to the point of potential legal action being taken. When trying to contact anyone at this facility (numerous times over a number of days at different levels) to discuss the matter there have been no return phone calls. Can you possibly give negative stars here??

I just got out of Vasona Creek today after being there for several days recovering from a fractured pelvis. They had put me in a room with a guy who had a bad cough. I started getting a cough last night. And took a Covid test as soon as I got home and tested positive. I can't believe they put me in a room with someone who was obviously sick and why the heck didn't they test him. Beware putting one of your loved ones in this facility

My mom is here. She has Covid for 2nd time. They leave recordings on how many there have Covid and to call for updates. When you call, no nurses available and they have not returned my 4 messages at the nursing station. Called back and was transferred to social worker, no call returned. Mom had a rash, finally prescribed cream, one shift applies it, then next doesn't. Communication issues? Is this the way all nursing homes are? Horrible place to bring your elderly parent to the staff was rude , not enough staff . Nobody to greet my mother when she arrived The nurse coral was very aggressive and rude . The were not gentle with my knowing she has dementia they should know how to talk and be gentle with patients . The admitting nurse Coral was loud and didn't like to be corrected when she was going over my moms medication list and pointed out that it wasn't twice a day , she gather her papers and walked off . This review is for anyone who is looking to send their loved one to this facility. I can honestly say that if my family was not there to advocate for my grandmother and physically be there to see how the staff treats their patients, I don't know what would have happened to her. Thankfully, God literally sent an angel to watch over my grandmother through the caring, thoughtful and determined roommate she had. This facility is so grossly understaffed. My moms roommate clearly has dementia, and never has any visitors to advocate for her. She went unchanged the entire 5 hours I spent there and was obviously soiled by the odor in the room. I turned on her call button for help and The staff would walk in the room, turn OFF the call button and never return! My mom had to eat lunch in the stinky room! Absolutely horrible place, from management, the nurses, the cleanliness. All of it it awful!!! It looks like a prison in there! Do not take your loved ones here, just awful I can't express it enough

My mom is currently a patient, she was transferred here after getting covid at another rehab, she is fairly happy with staff but having mixed results, for example no bathing, not even a wet wipe after diarrhea, although someone compassionate did clean her the following day. The biggest concern is the "misplacing" of her meds. It is 12:30pm now and not received her 9am meds. I called and was told they were misplaced and the nurse didn't know how to reorder.
