Get directionsMy dad nearly died in this facility. Luckily we got him moved out of it just before the COVID shelter in place orders. The facility smells terrible. Patients were parked in the hallways in their wheelchairs and just left for hours. Combative patients who hit, yell, and treat the staff horribly are allowed to stay and make life miserable for other patients and the entire staff. The ice they use for their patients' drinking water is stored in coolers that anyone in the facility, including guests of patients, has access to,... read more
This facility has not cared for my family member. She has been stuck (a prisoner) at this facility. Not allowed to see her family, the facility has lost all of her personal belongings. The facility does not get her up out of bed and dressed. She is left in bed in her sleep ware. They allow other patient to visit family through the patient room window. But they move my family member to a rooM where the window is not accessible. She is nearly blind and deaf and unable to care for herself. The facility allows family mem... read more
Business response:
John, I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's experience and I apologize if the issues you are referring to occurred due to our COVID-19 restrictions. As you may be aware, indoor visitation is currently only permitted for certain compassionate care situations. It's likely the visitors you saw were visiting a family member on hospice. If you are willing, I would love the opportunity to locate the missing belongings you mentioned and learn more about your experience by phone. Feel free to give me a call at (408) 356-2191.... read more
There were many people doing their best to attend to my mother. In the times of Covid it is very difficult when you cannot see your relatives. They need to improve their policies in terms of having a DNR posted above the bed. My mother had a DNR and they revived her had no idea about her medical records. She was transferred to a hospital where they revived her again and then she ended up on a ventilator.
Business response:
Hi Caara, Thank you for complimenting our staff in your review. I would like hear more about the experience regarding the DNR. I can be reached at 408-356-2191. Our goal is to improve our care based on patient experiences. Respectfully, Brett
I would have given 5 stars if the receptionist Judith would have some manners, or at the very least be professional. My mother has been at this facility for a little over a month, and with everything going on, no visiting. So I called, asked to speak to my mother, she says no such person here. I call back again, and she hangs up on me. Finally, I get a hold of a supervisor , and was put to ease and finally got to speak to my mother. Maybe Judith needs to find a job where she has no contact with people, since her attitude is ... read more

Wow if I could give this place a zero I would. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered, the staff seem like they don't know what the hell they're doing. Please don't send your loved one here because they will lose their belongings, claim they have it, then call you back two weeks later to say they lost it again. I'm talking an important coin purse that has a loved one's important information in it. My loved one was in this terrible place and ended up having to go to the hospital due to complicat... read more

I had to give one star to post this. I would give zero stars.. I was sent there after I broke my right ankle. I had broken my left foot month before and had boots on both feet. And I was unable to bear weight on ankle for a few weeks. Food was terrible. Staff was terrible. Staff was unresponsive and had me waiting at least an hour to use bathroom. Most of the care givers were disrespectful. I was able to start rehab after I was able to bear weight. I was hardly given any strength training before they kicked me out... read more

Update on the after math of taking my husband out of the facility...... Someone from the facility ( that didn't agree with my review) called Elder Protective Services ( senior social services) to inform them that I was abusing my husband by keeping him from needed and proper care. The social worker came out to speak with my husband, and my husbands adult son & daughter to investigate the alleged abuse. After speaking with them the case was closed and labeled as unfounded. Think twice before you post negative review for this ... read more

Tonight was moms second dinner. Mom made faces when she ate. So I went to lanardies to get split pea soup. Mom was happy.
Business response:

My family had a bad experience here. My siblings and I had never had a parent need this type of specialized care before, so didn't know what to expect. In a time of great stress while our mother was recovering from a traumatic injury, it would have been helpful for staff at Vasona Creek to provide basic welcoming information about procedures, protocols, goals, and what OUR role, as loved ones could be to facilitate things. Well, we got ZERO orienting or welcoming information, either in writing or verbal. It was also almost t... read more
