I had a great experience when purchasing my cert. pre-owned Tiguan. Great price and trade in value, good experience- (seriously- go see Seth). BUT, yesterday I went in for my first scheduled service, an oil change. I had an appointment, but it still took 2 hours. Insult to injury, I had a cake in a bakery box in the front passenger side floor, and when I got my car back, the box had been crushed and moved to the front seat, with the icing soaking through the top. Worst customer service. After purchasing a pretty new certified used vehicle from them, it started to have problems. I checked the service records, and found that the check engine light code was a problem that they had already said they “fixed” before. I returned the car and said I’d like this fixed, when I did so, their customer service rep Tristan, said I would be taken care of. I’m in my 8 consecutive year of leasing a Jetta with Volkswagen. At the time I leased my current Jetta almost four years ago, they told me oil changes are no longer complimentary with the lease. Before driving off the lot I paid cash for three oil changes. Last weekend I went in for my third oil change. Before taking my car back I explained that I’ve already paid for this oil change and there shouldn’t be a cost today. VW of Kirkland could improve by doing the complete diagnosis before giving 6 different diagnosis over 5 weeks. 5+ weeks later I still don't have my vehicle. Apparently it will be ready tomorrow, so I've been told the same thing the last 3 days. Dishonest. Unreliable. Horrible communication. Worst experience I've ever had.
I will keep this nice and short! I used to like this dealership until my most recent experience which was a NIGHTMARE! From the customer service at the service department who were (hostile, unprofessional, rude, and very unwelcoming), to the service department “managers”. Worse possible experience at this dealership, VW Kirkland. I had to return my car after bringing it here in an emergency situation where the bolt on the dog bone snapped while I was driving one day. A couple weeks later (I don't drive regularly since I'm out of town often for work and live in the city) I realized I was still hearing a rattle and was nervous the same thing was going to happen again. Absolutely awful experience from the sales manager, to the service manager and finally to the general manager! They had every opportunity to make a bad situation right but instead opted to say we don't care you have been loyal VW customers for 12 years, we would rather screw you over! Steer clear and stay far, far away! They care nothing about customers or doing the right thing! Shame on them, shame on VW and shame on O'Brien Auto Group! You know what you did and it will be on you to fix in the end!!! Karma!
I seldom post reviews, but this dealer made me disappointed. A service requires three trips, they almost let you come again and again. Funny thing is that when a new issue arises, they will charge you to EXAMINE whether the fault is theirs, no loan cars, they are always right. They don’t care about your feelings at all. My car is only 40k miles, no known issues before regular yearly service. One day after the service, light is broken, another two days later, bumper and engine have some problems. I called the dealership to schedule an oil change. They told me to show up at 7:30am, which I did. When I got there they told me 'the techs won't be in until 8am' ... ok ... why am I here then? But it's my birthday, I shrug it off. They also upsell me a $200 brake fluid change service. I'm patient and waiting in the lobby (can't take longer than an hour right?), before I know it it is 9:45am! I realize I've been here two hours so I ask about the car.
