Get directionsWent to VRC on Sunday afternoon with my injured dog. They came out to my car to carry my dog inside and each person I came in contact with was very helpful and courteous. After much discussion with the attending vet, we decided to euthanize our dog. Hardest decision anyone could ever make, but it was in the best interest of the dog. Two days later we got a sympathy card signed by the staff we came in contact with that day. Each one wrote a personal note in addition to signing the card.
I write this with the utmost respect for Dr B. And all the staff at VRC. My 11 year old dog Cosmo had two teeth extracted here this morning. We drove here from Mechanicsburg because Cosmo has some heart issues and my local vet was not comfortable putting him under to extract the teeth. From the moment I called, I was treated with respect and also reassured that things would be fine and they would take care of my best friend. These are the things I truly needed to hear. Prior to the surgery, Dr. B spent at least an hour with ... read more
Was referred to Dr. Blazejewski (dental specialist) because my boxer couldn't open his mouth all the way. He would go to yawn, and wasn't able to fully open. There didn't appear to be anything stuck in his mouth, and it was affecting his eating, his ability to cool down on hot days, and he was obviously in pain. Dr. B was away at a conference, and so I called around to other veterinary specialists in my area who wouldn't schedule him for 2-6 weeks. The morning Dr. B came back from his conference, he reviewed his schedule... read more
We just finished a great 4 month experience with VRC, Dr. Franczuszki.& his staff. I will say upfront that the repair of a ACL is very pricey but the treatment & service your animal receives rivals that given to a human. You are told by Dr. Franczuszki. what will be done & what is expected of you & how you must keep your dog confined, on a lead & with very limited activity, for 4-6 months. After the operation, you are sent home with everything to make your pet comfortable. From the moment you enter the facility until you l... read more
My dog was referred to Dr. Shilling by my primary veterinarian because he needed an abdominal ultrasound. Everybody at the clinic was very helpful and nice Dr. Shilling was great and explained everything to me so I came away from my visit feeling confident were on the right course of treatment for my pet. My only negatives would be that while having a 1 pm appointment, we were not seen until 2 pm and the costs are a little high. I understand it is a specialist so I was just a bit surprised.
I had a wonderful experience at VRC with my dog, Joe Boxer. Joe developed a corneal ulcer which became secondarily infected. The infection was rapidly progressive and threatened to perforate the eye. Joe was admitted into the hospital where he received expert care from Dr. Brady Beale and all the staff. After 48 hours of medicating the eye every 20-30 minutes, the eye was saved! I returned three times for recheck appointments, and at each visit Joe and I were greeted by name as soon as we stepped into the hospital. I can't s... read more
My dog tore his ACL and had surgery with Dr. Franczuszki. Now 4 months post surgery after finishing his recheck, and is back to normal! He gave our dog his life back. Love VRC and Dr. Franczuszki and would not go anywhere else.
Over the past 15 years, I have brought 5 cats to see Dr. Sadanaga, one of the best soft tissue surgeons I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He clearly loves his patients, and provides exceptional care, from removing tumors to partial lung lobe-ectomies. While he is normally successful, he has not hesitate to tell us when the prognosis was poor. Even more important, he has never spent my money when it would not be a benefit for the patient. I cannot say enough about the quality of care. I have recommended him t... read more
Dr. Franczuszki saved our little rescue cat Josie several years ago. He was by no means soft in his approach on how we had to cage her for well over three months and that hurt us to do so. But boy was he ever right. Two surgeries and two casts and now instead of having a cat that walks on three legs (probably in pain) we have this wonderful playful Feline that runs (and I fear jumps too much) that is happy as can be as far as a cat is concerned. I know this is late but better late than ever. Dr. F. and his staff deserve this... read more
