I took my girlfriend here and it was amazing. We hung out in the lounge in the basement before dinner and it was very rustic and romantic, a perfect place to just hang out and talk before dinner. The actual meal itself was delicious and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be coming back soon!
The food was really delicious but having Andrew as our server truly made our night. He was a bit "dramatic" at the beginning but as we loosened up he became quite the treat. His knowledge of the food, the wine; just the whole experience was wonderful.
I went there for our 6 month anniversary after going on the night I proposed. Very cozy, traditional place. Wasn't as impressed with the food this time as I was the first time. I would recommend the salmon pastrami and the wild duck, but the gnocchi and mushroom soup weren't too impressive. We were pretty much overloaded with food and didn't have much room at our little table for two to rest our arms. Next time I might ask for a larger table. We were seated two tables away from the fire pit (on the side of the building). Halfway through the meal the floor, table and my chair started to vibrate & continued on for a good 20 minutes, which was slightly annoying. The waiter told us there is a walk-in cooler in the basement under the floor where our table was located and that the motor starts up periodically. I've been here a dozen times over the years and love it. I'm from out of town, but bring ALL my friends. I always look forward to impressing my friends with this Minnesota gem. GREAT neighborhood.
A very unique restaurant. Absolutely charming inside, and the food is delicious. The waiters are very knowledgable and helpful. One of my favorite spots!
My husband and I dine at W.A. Frost several times a year, mainly to celebrate milestones in our lives. We were even married there! There's so much to enjoy at Frost's.
