Went to W.A. Frost for New Years Eve dinner. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the ambiance was wonderful. The drawback - the food was served luke warm to room temperature. None of the dishes were actually hot, except for the pork belly appetizer. We would go back one more time, but if hot food isn't served hot, it will be our last time there.
First visit and impressed with food, service and setting. This is a return to restaurant .
Very pleasant New Years dinner at W.A. Frost. Crackling fire, Vintage building nicely decorated for the season, with a candle light atmosphere. The food, appetizers and entrees alike were very good, but the service was special. The staff was utterly charming and entertaining and I don't believe my water glass was ever half full. All the recommendations by the staff were excellent and we had perhaps the best table in the house.
On New Year's Eve, I had lunch with a friend at Frost, and the ambiance was exquisite. From the wood burning fire to the lovely decorations, it was the perfect context for a delicious lunch. Service, food and all were excellent!
The food and service was outstanding. The ambience, of course was great. The event was a birthday celebration - my family enjoyed the evening.
My husband and I have wanted to eat at W. A. Frost ever since we saw it in the Minnesota Monthly magazine. I finally surprised him with a trip for brunch. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant! They have an extensive drink menu, including a variety of seasonal offerings (like Wassail, mulled wine, and egg nog). The food was superb, the wait staff attentive (but not overly so), and the drinks were excellent. This is a must visit for those who like good food with an old world feel.
WA Frost is a wonderful restaurant, Christmas is extra special. The ambience is enhanced with Christmas decorations which adds to the welcoming mood and spirit of the evening.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Seasonal decorations were beautiful. Made a wonderful setting for entertaining our out-of-town guest.
Beautiful venue, we had a particularly good server. He offered to give sampling of wine before ordering and had excellent knowledge of wine enabling him to give good recommendations.
