A great place for classic and unique steaks, chicken , pork .
I reserved a table for two for Saturday brunch and mentioned in the notes that I have celiac disease, thinking it would be nice to give them a heads up. I didn't expect them to actually read it or remember, but upon our arrival out server immediately asked which of us had celiac and told me that I could pick anything on the menu and the chef would try to make it gluten free. I was very impressed, and the food was delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very romantic with Victorian decor and a toasty fireplace. I'm ... read more
Visually pleasing restaurant, just old time gorgeous. We sat by the fire for a romantic birthday dinner. All the food was delicious, locally obtained awesomeness. I wasn't keen on the polenta, but everything else was very tasty, well presented, and paired nicely. Let me tell you about Andrew, our waiter. Funny, kind, not intrusive, very knowledgeable about the product he serves. The best part? He asked if he could sing Happy Birthday to me. Fine dining restaurant? um...ok. Oh. My. GAWD I am glad I said yes! Beautiful operati... read more
We were given lunch as a Christmas gift. WA Frost was a perfect place to eat lunch on a frosty day with its fireplaces, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious and the thoughtful decor transported us to another century. We especially enjoyed looking at the paintings on the walls. We are from New England and look forward to our next visit.
The food line up and delivery was very nice. The server was great, patient and knowledgeable. Comfortable setting and good atmosphere. Highly recommended.
As a Minneapolitan, I tend to favor local restaurants, but WA Frost is well worth the excursion! We've been there several times, and always have been very satisfied, but our most recent experience was even better. Service excellent - well-informed, courteous and accommodating, if slightly slow at desert time. The salad was fine -- nice mix of greens, yellow beets, etc. and a fine dressing. The entrees were the stars of the show: Skate with brown butter, pork cheeks with spinach and a wonderful sauce reduction + red wine. Siz... read more
The food was OK. The desserts were terrific. But it took forever to have lunch -- almost two hours. Perhaps the server thought that we wanted to linger, but she never asked.
Chose Frost's because my first choice was not available. Surprised to find out how much service and food has improved! Both outstanding!! Food for foodies....will return for this reason and the beautiful atmosphere. Thank you!
We've eaten here many times. Always a great choice. Food is consistently good, service well paced and whether we are there for lunch or dinner, inside or outside, the setting is comfortable.
