It says a lot for a place when it can satisfy an 87 year old Minnesota grandpa, 2 California foodies, and 2 kids (10 and 12) both for food and ambience. We had sandwiches -- burgers, Po' Boy -- and entree salads -- strawberry salad and grilled chicken. But we wished could have doubled our orders as we watched other patrons getting their dishes. We had been looking forward to visiting St. Paul and having a special dinner at WA Frost. It was always a favorite and we were delighted with the many small plate options. Lots of great tastes and a very satisfying meal!
When in St. Paul to visit family, W. A. Frost never fails to provide an excellent meal in an environment wonderful for catching up "around the table." Over the 17 years my family and I have been dining at W. A. Frost, we've never been disappointed.
Purposely chose for a special Christmas dinner because I knew it would be a beautiful setting. It was absolutely wonderful. Exceeded expectations.
W.A. Frost was a great choice for a special dinner with our adult children and our daughter's boyfriend. Everyone said their meal was delicious. I especially appreciate the range of sizes for the entrees. My daughter and I ordered the micro entrees with a couple of sides while the men had the full size entrees. We started with the trio of small plates to share which were excellent as well. The warm and festive ambiance of this Saint Paul gem is always a treat. We will definitely be back again!
I almost never order the tasting menus. This one for Sunday brunch was just terrific. Eggs Benedict with soppresata. Steak and eggs. And a yogurt parfait. And very reasonably priced. Add to that the place was decked out for Christmas, so my 8-year-old daughter had a great time, too.
A great experience as we celebrated 2 anniversaries. A very special evening! We will be back!
This place is phenomenal. I have been here two other times. One with a friend and his family and thought it was a great family place with some really good food. The other time was for a friends grooms dinner which worked perfectly for a group setting. This last time was with my girlfriend for a Christmas dinner and was by far the best experience which I did not think was possible for how good it was the times before. Great place for all occasions!
