Classy in a nice way. We had lunch here on St. Valentines Day. No "special" (e.g. Out of the apparent normal) notice given to the occasion which was greatly appreciated on my part. The servers were attentive without being overbearing. Suggestions on wine pairings were excellent. Very nice setting with high ceilings yet still a cozy feel. Sound levels were good... We weren't privy to conversations at tables around us or were we subjected to clanging pots & pans from a kitchen. I had the cassoulet and my wife had the rainbow t... read more
Lovely seating next to a fireplace, cozy feeling! Torchio pasta was excellent! Our server was exceptionally attentive as were the host and other servers! We loved the dessert samplers! We will be back!!
This was our first trip to WA Frost. An excellent server, very interesting tasting menu and inviting ambiance made it a wonderful stop for Valentine's. We will return
We recently had a disappointing dinner at another upscale place and decided that we should try again, this time at a place we knew was good. We have never had bad food at WA Frosts and this time was no different. The food is great, the service is good and the ambianace was very nice.
Excellent waiters in the restaurant and lower bar area! Great wines. Wonderful atmosphere. Although, hostesses need lessons...
I met with an old friend who had recently lost a young son as I did a few years ago. I wanted a quiet nice place and Frost did it. We could both cry and mourn, celebrate the many lives we have left in front of us. Service outstanding, table delightful, quinoa vegetarian burger ok (a bit dry), desserts splendid. Thanks. I will return to sample another brunch offering.
I was looking for a great brunch spot in St. Paul and WA Frost had great reviews. My friend and I both had the steak and eggs with the protein at medium well. The steak was very tender and well seasoned. The scrambled eggs came with a delicious hollandaise sauce and a side of hash potatoes with sautéed onions. For dessert, I had the figs Newton and my friend had the creme brulee. Both were excellent. We finished the meal with tea and coffee. Ambience was fantastic with a wood burning fire, Persian rugs on the hardwood floors... read more
Excellent place for a quiet birthday dinner for us baby boomers and people of all ages were there. Paintings, brick walls, and fireplace are inviting. Hostesses were friendly and remembered which coats were ours when we left! Waiter was knowledgable, polite, humorous, never snobby. He described the dishes in detail and made an excellent suggestion for my husband's entree and for dessert. Kudos to the chef! Portions are small but with an appetizer and dessert (no soup / salad) we were completely satisfied and full. Appetizer:... read more
With our recent cold weather it was such a pleasure to sit next to a wood burning fire in that warm, charming dining room. The food was good but we were sat at the same time as our neighboring tables so it took over 15 minutes to get our first drink. After it started the service was flawless.
