NOT GOOD FOR CATS. Had a reservation for the 'cat suite' at $68 a night. It's anything but a suite. They make it sound really good online, with their description. Plus the fact that it has a camera so we could check in on our little guy is really what sold me. I was going out of town for 10 days and wanted to make sure our cat was going to be comfortable, so I decided to stop by Wag a few days before our trip to give us some peace of mind. Oh man am I lucky that I did! Conditions are not good at all. Feels like the SPCA! N... read more

They get 1 because you cannot go any lower! We have been trying to contact them for over an hour with no luck. Our dog was boarded today and we have not been able to see her since we dropped her off...they offer a video link with a Deluxe Suite which is a lie...do not believe what they say in their website. This was their reply: Redwood City Client Services (Wag Hotels) Apr 2, 2022, 9:22 PDT Good Morning, Unfortunately because of the busy weekend, we do not have any cameras available. As soon as we have a camera open ... read more

Business response:

Good Morning Jose, We appreciate your feed back and apologize again for the experience you had here with us. Our entire team remembers your dog very well. We are saddened to hear that the gash she sustained while with us has cause her long term anxiety and fear when it comes to other dogs. It is our hope the you remember the lengthy conversation that both our Operations Manager and Client Services Manager had with you upon pick up. We desperately wanted to speak with you during your pets stay but due to time difference a... read more

Please do not take your dog here for boarding! I took my old dog here and they didn't feed her the correct amount so when they ran out of her food they just stopped feeding her. I should have never trusted them again but that was years ago. I took my new puppy, 4 months old, to them last week. I reserved a deluxe suite, $118 a night. It is supposed to have a raised bed and I also reserved a burrow bed. It is also supposed to have a web cam. The front desk person at check in confirmed the burrow bed but said they may not have... read more

Wow! I don't know what to say other than I am so upset with this wag location and how my two dogs were treated. When you leave your pets here, you expect them to be cared for, not neglected. I dropped them off this morning for a day stay. When I went to pick them up, the employees could not find my dogs for an alarming amount of time - one employee went so far as to tell me I had a free day since she couldn't find them in the system. I didn't feel comfortable with this but she seemed annoyed by the extra paperwork and didn't... read more

This place should be shut down. They claimed my dog bit an employee and was reported to animal control. I found this out days later from animal control not from wags. Never mentioned a thing while my dogs was being boarded or when I picked him up. He has never had an issue before. This place will blatantly lie to your face. Not a safe place to take your loved one.

Business response:

Hello Jason I'm not able to get your dogs profile off the information you left here on yelp, Could you please reach out to me Christen here at the Redwood City Hotel, We do take dog bites very & protocols on how we handle these things very seriously. Contacting the Owner is second on our list after getting any medical care for the Handler & checking the dog over , Then we reach out to the Owners to make sure they are aware of has happened & we would then let you know if we needed to take our handler to the doctors at that ... read more

Something is definitely wrong with the cleanliness Of this place. My puppy used to attend all day play 2 days/week. He was sick more days out of the month than I could count. Vomiting, diarrhea, you name it he had it. I have since moved on to another doggy day care, but will periodically bring him in on the weekend for all day play. He gets sick EVERY time. A minimum of 3 days of vomiting and/or diarrhea. With all of these complaints, I would hope that someone would look into this. Something is not right.

Business response:

Hi Erin, we are so sorry to hear that your pet went home not feeling well. Our guests mean everything to us. We clean our play areas, and private rooms throughout the day, and complete a deep clean of the play areas each night. If you could get back to us on Yelp, that would be great, We are wondering if the vomiting and diarrhea are diet related - some guests do not adjust well to our food if they have sensitive stomachs or any change in food. We thank you for your time, and hope to hear from you soon.

FIRST TIME REVIEW: Trying calling their number but kept getting their 800 customer service number. why isnt there a direct line to these hotels? so i can call before going! I live about 30 minutes away and to get here its kinda far. Anyways, i spoke to gentleman on the customer service line and he specifically said i can come anytime no appointment is needed to do a tour. So i went to today and of course when i get there the gentleman said no one was here to give me the tour?! Okay why do they tell us to come anytime and if ... read more

TL:DR- Our labrador stayed at Wag for eight days, and ended up contracting a flesh-eating bacteria resulting in a leg amputation. We believe that the quality of health and safety at Wag has drastically decreased, and warn you away. This past September, our dog, Paige, stayed at Wag Hotels Redwood City while we were on a family vacation. On the 8th and final day of Paige's stay at Wag Hotels, Wag staff rushed her to a vet's office for what would later be diagnosed as necrotising fasciitis (commonly called flesh-eating bacter... read more

If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would. TLDR: Do NOT leave your dog here!!!! I left for a 5 day vacation and couldn't enjoy any of it. Usually I would drive almost 2 hours to a ranch in North Bay to leave my active, large breed puppy but my returning flight was on a Sunday night and couldnt make that drive after landing. Decided to give Wag a try, I mean their advertising seemed to give off a "safe", "responsible" image of the place. LIES. I booked the largest, most expensive room for my pup since it has a Nest... read more

Business response:

Hi Hana, we understand you are frustrated, and for that we are sorry. We are always transparent with what we provide. Our suite's offer guests 12 full hours of being out of their room socializing and getting caregiver affection throughout the day. This is from 7am-7pm. Guests after the 12 hours of play, sleep in their private rooms until the next morning, and we begin that care regimen over again. The dynamic of our social groups changes each day. Some guests for a variety of reasons require rest periods, to ensure everyo... read more
