We left our Vizsla there for 4.5 days . Picked him up today. Cuts and deep scratches all over his body. One still slightly bleeding. Never again.

We just left our dog at the wag hotel of half of a day. After playtime, they put her in a room alone and she clearly had an episode of some kind. When we picked her up she had been washed off and was all wet because they found her in a corner drooling (At least that's what they said, it looked like she had thrown up). We were not called when our dog was not doing well. To be honest I believe they hardly checked on her in her room at all. She was hardly herself and looked like she had been drugged. We took her to the ER and s... read more

I payed for one night for my bod to be boarded and a grooming and nail trim. My dog came home Mangy, With fleas, and the reception and abrupt and so rude. Don't trust your animals here. This place looks nice from the from but who knows what's going on in the back. No!

Hey Eryn, Ok first off its Joe, not Jason. Splitzy was just the problem after the problem. When I brought my last dog there he came home with Kennel cough and he was elderly. So thats all bad. If you really wanna know how to improve, its simple. From business owner to business owner, literally all you havta do is hire more attentive and detail driven employees. If you havta pay more for quality people, do it. Cause all the horrible reviews are killing your business. Just hire better people. Its an investment in your business... read more

Business response:

I wish I could give 0 stars. My normal boarding place was full for the holidays so after reading all the awful reviews Wag was my only option. I was naive thinking how bad could it be? My dogs came home and were out of sorts for 4 days. That's never happened. They lost 5 pounds each and they're small dogs so they didn't have any to lose. My dogs eat farmers dog and I'm pretty sure they didn't feed them because they sent me home with so much rotten food, looked like had been sitting out. They're also impossible to get ahold ... read more

If I could give them o stars I would! This place is terrible! If you love your pet do not take them here! My dog was injured and they didn't tell me or take him to the vet. They only told me after I picked him up. He had a large gash on his leg which looked like he either git bit or scraped in on something sharp. Either way I wasn't notified. They had to carry him out to me because he couldn't walk. When I got him his leg was dripping with blood and he had an avulsion on his rear leg. He had pee allover him as if he... read more

Wag has been very frustrating and incompetent recently. Their communication systems are off. You make an appointment during the stay for a haircut and confirm online and in person and you pick up the dog all matted and no haircut. Then over the holidays our dog got Kennel Cough and when we picked her up we immediately had to go to an emergency vet and put her on antibiotics. Such a waste of time and money. Just worried about what happens inside given the level of external facing incompetence. Do not recommend until the... read more

Business response:

Hi Andrew, It sounds like you've had more than one RUFF experience with us and I want to apologize for that. We sympathize with your frustration here and appreciate your candor in bringing this forward. We understand how frustrating it can be to be at the losing end of a breakdown in communication and booking with us in any capacity should be seamless. We're especially sorry to hear that Nala left feeling anything less than 100%. We take guest health and safety seriously and would love the opportunity to connect so we can... read more

STAY AWAY from this place for the health and well being of your dog. We usually do the Wag hotel in Oakland where we've had great experiences. Unfortunately it was booked so we had to go to the SF location. Our dog stayed for 4 days and I don't know if he was ever let out of his cage. We selected all day play, like we usually do in Oakland, but were told that it was too busy and that it would cause our dog too much stress. We were then told that he would get 2hrs of play in the morning and 2 hrs in the afternoon, as well ... read more

Business response:

Hi David, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We are so sorry that this was not the same positive experience you usually have with Oakland. We really appreciate you sending this feedback and making us aware of what happened so we can take the time to dig a little deeper into Panda's stay and what all took place. We apologize for the miscommunication and any distress it may have caused you and your family. Our Assistant Manager, David has reached out to you via phone call and email and we would lo... read more

Beware of a new practice: Your dog's collar now will be removed when you check in -- apparently so that you cannot track your dog with an Airtag due to the bad publicity Wag received over not exercising dogs in their care -- and your dog will be "leashed" collarless with a flimsy nylon SLIPCORD. Thus, if your dog pulls, she or he will be choked by the slipcord. (Very dangerous for the dog!) When we picked up our dog last week, not only did the Wag employee have the dog on a slipcord, but the employee dropped the slipcord... read more

Business response:

Hey Tug!! I'm so sorry to hear about your most recent experience with us. I would love the opportunity to make this right and talk things over with you, so we can ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else moving forward. I'm having a hard time finding you in our system! Would you mind reaching out to us so we can talk in further detail about your encounter? Give us a shout at (888) 924-5463 and ask for Eryn at the SF location. Looking forward to setting this right for you and your furry family. Best Regards, Eryn Ginz... read more
