Went to take a tour today and we met with Mike. No appointment just dropped in although we did call a couple of days in advance to make sure it was ok to drop in without an appointment. Mike was very professional, answered all our questions. Made us feel like this was a great place to board our dog. Explained the day to day program and also how they acclimate new dogs to their facility. Looking forward to booking our 1st stay for our dog. I have been bringing my chihuahua mix, Annie, to Wag for over a year and she loves it. Annie is extremely shy around people normally but when she gets to Wag she is so excited to see everyone and really opens up. I use Wag for daycare, boarding and the spa and would recommend to anyone.
I have mixed feelings about this place. I have left my two bernedoodles here various times and deal with different things every time. This review is for the times I've dropped them off for the day. I've let them know that my pups eat at 8 am and 5 pm. When I've picked up my puppies they rush outside to pee and when they go home they immediately want to eat "again". This isn't normal behavior for my pups. They can hold their pee and don't have accidents, this means they've been waiting a long time to go potty. If I'm picking ... read more

Hi Orlenda! We love Bernedoodles, they are such a wonderful breed. If your pups are in just for the day, and you request us to feed them lunch, this is only done between 12pm-1pm based on our daycare feeding schedule. If you want them to eat breakfast, we suggest you feed them at home prior to dropping them off for Doggie Daycare. Depending on the daycare program you have chosen, they are likely burning a lot more calories than what they normally burn at home. My dog Daisy is a frequent flier at Wag Hotels for their All Day Play program and I boarded her for the first time here for the week and she had a great time. It was nice to be able to check in on her on the cameras and I know the staff here took great care of her. It was the longest time I'd been away from her since I adopted her and I was so thankful that she was happy and clean when I picked her up! Shout Out To Wags!! I left my dear loved (Dog) Pepper at the San Francisco Wags Hotel location from December 22-26. It was the best decision I've ever made. David and his team were beyond kind, assertive, professional and treated Pepper like the prince he is. The front desk peps give off a sense of warmth & kindness. During my dog's 2 week stay, he was supposed to get all day play every single day. About half of the days I had to call them because I checked the webcam and saw he was still in his room during playtime, and they kept giving various excuses (mostly just that they made a mistake and would take him out). I took my service animal a Cavapoo to the San Francisco location to get a full groom for our first ever holiday photos as a family together. Plus I planned on entering him into a holiday costume contest where he could've won lots of toys and treats. Look at these before pictures & then the after pictures they should be ashamed of themselves. Do they even train their employees? I usually board my dog in the Oakland location but they were full during the times that I needed so I went to San Francisco to board. This is my first time in the SF location. Reservations work by submitting a request that has to be approved so if there were any notes on my dog then that should be included in the first initial invoice that they send out so you're aware of the charges before confirming the booking. I had my dog stay at the Wag Hotel a year ago and the experience could not have been more different. Last year, service was great and my dog had a great experience. There were no "surprise" charges and he was able to enjoy all day play with the other dogs. This year, the "special" charges (adding $130 to the bill) that I incurred were not explained when I made the reservation.
