Tried to board my dog for the first time. Here is how the staff responded to me: Staff: you have to create an account. Me: how can I do that? Staff: on the website. Me: what is the website? Staff: you can always Google it. Train your staff before training dogs please

To Wag, This company's leadership is horribly structured and maintained. Anyone looking into working at this place at any level should completely reconsider. Wag has complete disregard for their employees and their development. Truly a terrible company with an immense amount of issues. Seriously disgusted by their performance after viewing the company from the inside. They have no idea how to value an employee, especially when members are incredibly coachable, adaptable, and tenacious. They have so much potential and they t... read more

Concerning experience. My dog threw up and was crying by the door of his room for a prolonged period. When nobody arrived timely, (only after I called), he ate his own vomit - all shown on camera. The ultra suite room did not appear as advertised. There was only one pillow and no tv visible. A camera was not operating in the main play area so my dog was often not visible and most dogs were standing around with their tails down probably due to being under stimulated and confused in a room with no designated potty area/tur... read more

During my dog's 2 week stay, he was supposed to get all day play every single day. About half of the days I had to call them because I checked the webcam and saw he was still in his room during playtime, and they kept giving various excuses (mostly just that they made a mistake and would take him out). One of the other excuses they gave for him not having playtime was that their play area was at capacity - but I had to check the webcam and call them to find that out, and they then apologized and said they would still try to ... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry that your stay with us did not meet the expectations we strive to uphold. We appreciated the opportunity to speak with you in person and want to again apologize for the miscommunication surrounding Taffy’s bath timing on pickup day. We understand how frustrating it was for your schedule to be impacted, and we recognize that this caused unnecessary inconvenience with you having to return after having just landed. During our conversation, we were also ... read more

I took my service animal a Cavapoo to the San Francisco location to get a full groom for our first ever holiday photos as a family together. Plus I planned on entering him into a holiday costume contest where he could've won lots of toys and treats. Look at these before pictures & then the after pictures they should be ashamed of themselves. Do they even train their employees? Is there any kind of supervision over the grooming department, I guess not! My dog has Knicks on his tummy where he was cut. He has a gouge in his rig... read more

I usually board my dog in the Oakland location but they were full during the times that I needed so I went to San Francisco to board. This is my first time in the SF location. Reservations work by submitting a request that has to be approved so if there were any notes on my dog then that should be included in the first initial invoice that they send out so you're aware of the charges before confirming the booking. This is for transparency on both sides. There was definitely something wrong because my dog couldn't wait to ge... read more

Business response:

Hi Loann, First off, I'd like to apologize for the miscommunication. At Wag, we strive to be transparent, straightforward, and clear with all clients in an effort to avoid miscommunication. We obviously missed the mark here, please allow me to explain what occurred. Back around March 28th, it appears the Oakland location made Sandwich (Sam) into a Special Care/One-on-One pup for the safety of other pups and staff, due to being unfit for groups and unpredictable in nature. With one-on-one, the price of daycare remains the s... read more

I had my dog stay at the Wag Hotel a year ago and the experience could not have been more different. Last year, service was great and my dog had a great experience. There were no "surprise" charges and he was able to enjoy all day play with the other dogs. This year, the "special" charges (adding $130 to the bill) that I incurred were not explained when I made the reservation. The staff gave my dog the incorrect medication and would not allow him to have play time with the other dogs because he has epilepsy. They claimed... read more
