Lousy service, they denied our two small dogs , due to one barked at another dog, our dog just barked , the other dog lunged and barked , but they let her dog in? They saw the other dog lunged at our two dogs. But the lady already paid.

Business response:

Hey Mario! I apologize that this was your experience with us. This is definitely not the way we do things and I would love the opportunity to talk with you about what happened and how we can make this right. Please feel free to reach out to me at (888) 924-5463 and ask for Eryn Ginzel at the San Francisco location. Looking forward to making this right, Eryn Ginzel and The Wag SF Crew!

I never left a review in my life but this one takes the cake. I go on a one weekend trip leaving my two dogs for two nights at wag hotel. I supplied them a bag of dog food in which I bought brand new. Gave them instructions on feeding my dog twice a day. Now when I got back the whole supply of dog food is gone with a tiny sandwich saying this is all that is left that usually can feed both of my small dogs for at-least a week. Secondly, my little dog comes back and she's popping and spotting all over the floor multiple times ... read more

Business response:

Hey Kim, Thank you for taking the time to speak with my manager David the other day. I'm so sorry to hear about the confusion we experienced with the food provided and the measurements given. The last thing we want to do is make you feel like we've mistreated your family members. We should have done better to clarify the details of your pup's stay and make sure we were all on the same page in regards to their care. We know that first time lodging can be stressful but I can assure you are facility, feeding areas and water ... read more

My nightmarish experience at the San Francisco WAG Hotel with my Shiba Inu was nothing short of an abomination, and I'm absolutely appalled by the sheer incompetence and neglect that we encountered. Despite the glaring warnings in an scathing SF Chronicle article, I naively gave them a chance, and it quickly became a nightmarish circus. Here's an excruciatingly detailed account of the horrors that unfolded: We checked in at WAG Hotel at 9 am on a Saturday, holding on to a sliver of hope for a decent stay. Vomit Aplenty: By... read more

I took my dog here last year and could tell she had been neglected. My normally sweet dog was absolutely frantic when she saw me and had a terrorized look in her eyes. When she saw me, she ran to me and jumped on me, so frantic that she sliced open my arm with her nails. The Wag employees didn't offer me a bandage or anything as my arm bled and my dog freaked out (very uncharacteristically for her). I would never ever take a dog here again and I still feel terrible for leaving her there.

Business response:

Hi Colleen, My name is Eryn and I'm the general manager here at Wag in San Francisco. I wanted to personally apologize for the experience you and your sweet baby had with us last year. Being pet lovers and pet parents ourselves, when we hear feedback like this we dig deep and take time to understand where we've fallen short. I'd love to chat with you more about Lana's stay last year and how things have changed at our facility since your last visit. Please feel free to reach out at your convenience to (888) - 924-5463. Be... read more

We've only taken our dog here once, when she was a puppy (before COVID). We opted to not take her back because the employer working there told us that our puppy had been dropped in her head (in a joking tone of voice!!) and she completely smelled like pee. This place is understaffed, overpriced, and does not care about your pet. Find a sitter somewhere else.

Business response:

Hi Christy! I'm so sorry to hear that this was your first experience with Wag Hotels. My name is Eryn and I'm the current General Manager here at the San Francisco location. I would love to touch base with you about your fur babies day with us and show you how far Wag SF has come. We pride ourselves on our ability to take top notch care of our guests as well as their human counterparts, so when we hear that we’ve fallen short, we take the opportunity to learn how we can do better. The health & safety of our guests is so i... read more

If you want to pay a hefty price for your dog to be put in 22 hour isolation periods for a "normal" boarding stay, this is the place. Inhuman treatment and torture for animals. Make sure you find out exactly where they're leaving your dog when you board them here. We were told different things by several employees and finally realized why our dog was shaking from anxiety. We recently relocated to SF and needed to find a new place for our little furry dude to stay while away. After much research we found WAG. We decided to ... read more

Only send your dog here if you don't care about them. We reserved a deluxe room for our fairly large dog but they put her in a medium room. The dog is super depressed and also hurt on her paw. This is absolutely the worst experience ever.

Business response:

Hi Qasim, We're so sorry to hear that this was your experience with us and that your furry family member is hurt! We would love to go over your most recent stay and address your concerns but we're having a hard time finding you in our system. Please reach out to (888) 924-5463 and ask for Eryn or David at the San Francisco location and give your pup some extra cuddles and kisses from us. Hoping to hear from you soon, Eryn and the Wag SF Team.

My dog is almost 11 and has been coming to Wag SF occasionally since he was a puppy. Back then Wag SF was the flagship and this was before they expanded. Back then everyone who worked at Wag was enthusiastic and caring and took good care of the dogs. Back then it was a 5 star place. Now it is a shadow of its former self. The staff always looks sad and is highly inefficient. They seem extremely poorly trained and poorly treated. In the last year I have witnessed them not being able to locate a woman's dog. My dog is always hi... read more

Business response:

Hi George, We're so sorry to hear that Otto's time with us at Wag SF has been anything less than 5 star. Guest satisfaction is very important to us, we strive to offer exceptional care for our guests. It's disheartening to hear that Otto isn't leaving with a wagging tail and that we've let you down. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us identify areas where improvements can be made and we are committed to researching and understanding your concerns. I would love to touch base with you and will be reaching out directly... read more

THEY DROP MY PUPPY!!! I left my 7 months old puppy for two hours daycare. When I picked up my dog, they first brought me the wrong dog. After 10 mins later, when my dog came out, the person didn't attached my dog's harness to the bag nor close the bag nor hold my dog. He just held the bag like a target shopping bag and put my dog in risk. Of course my dog fell out from the bag and hit the ground ( that guy was pretty tall. It was probably 5-6ft distance). My dog hit his head and screamed for 30 seconds straight on the flo... read more
