NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE ADMINISTRATIVE SIDE, NOT THE CAREGIVERS. Prior to a screening mammogram Washington Radiology repeatedly calls, texts and even makes robo-calls informing patients that they need to bring a written order. I am on Medicare which does not require a doctor's order for a screening mammogram. I called and (after being on hold a loooong time) asked why I was being bombarded with this false information. The operator confirmed that Washington Radiology does not require orders for screening mammograms. He... read more
Aloof staff. Terse doctors. Didn't send report to the doctor who ordered the imaging. Said insurance had denied claim when they hadn't even submitted it, and billed me for whole amount of procedure. Nothing but end-to-end headaches with this place. Avoid if at all possible.
I wish I had read these reviews before going to WRA. I chose WRA for convenience-- I could get mammo and dexascan on the same day. Scheduling was fine. The day of the mammo I filled out the online request for redults. (Why should this even be nrcessary?) 2 weeks after the mammo, I got a call from WRA asking when I'd like to schedule a follow-up mammo. I had no idea what they were talking about. Turns out my mammo showed an abnormality in one breast, and there was a "technical" issue with the other breast which they wouldn't ... read more
Being new to this area; I came for the first time , to do a Mammograms' at Washington Radiology; first I felt it was the most painful mammogram I ever got (I am 50 y.o.), second as result Washington Radiology mentioned photos were not too clear, also have a symmetry on 1 side to return to do more exams (I was starting to be suspicious). Third, I returned and a second monogram was done and I asked the technician to explain why, I needed this and she replied "your past history shows a change so, we need to check more".....I w... read more
I used Washington Radiology Associates for my first mammogram because I was referred by my primary care physician. The appointment booking process was to be expected. I received an appointment within a couple of weeks. The facility itself was also fine, but nothing to write home about. I will say the technician who performed my scan was very nice. She told me to expect my results within 7-10 business days. I confirmed this amount of turn around time with the front desk. Over 10 business days later, I received electronic not... read more
Two weeks ago I went to Washington Radiology to receive a screening mammogram. I got a call this past Tuesday telling me I needed to make an appointment for additional imaging. So I made the appointment for the following Friday. On Thursday I got a text from Washington radiology telling me that my physician has sent an order to them for the additional imaging. So I assumed I was all set. I went in for my appointment early as they requested, but wasn't brought up to the front desk until 15 minutes after my appointment time. ... read more
Double check that there are no over charges. Tricky company that repeatedly has overcharged, deceptively using several methods. Then they blame patient on the problem. Shame on them.
Horrible experience! My daughter has been suffering from extreme congestion for 4 months. We have brought her to numerous doctors and the most recent one wanted a CT scan before performing surgery. I called and made an appointment for this scan and couldn't get in for over 3 weeks. The day of the scan, we arrived early, filled out all the paperwork, and waited. After about 15 minutes the receptionist told us that unfortunately their policy is not to perform scans in anyone under 16 so they couldn't perform the scan. She fur... read more
Washington Radiology's first mammogram appointment of the day is at 6:45 am. I made the appointment and received an email confirmation that said to arrive 15 minutes early. When I arrived at about 6:25, the office building was locked. I was finally let into the building and took a seat in the dark first-floor office of Washington Radiology. The door was unlocked, but no staff appeared for approximately 10 minutes. The woman who appeared said that my appointment was booked at the Washington Radiology office on an upper floor,... read more
