I sp;ent almost a year in every hospital and a few snifs (skilled nursing facility) in the greater Sacramento area back in 2017 due to a drunk driver that ran a red light and hit me head on, on my motorcycle. Now these nursing facilities vary in their level of cleanliness as well as their effectiveness in their duties serving their clientele. My husband Christopher experienced many emotional breakdowns due to his lower left leg being amputated after the doctors amputated 3-4 toes. As his wife of 20 years, my boldness, directness, love for him and our family, and having gone through this with his parents, I was prepared for the challenges ahead. I had a 76 year old friend go in there after a stroke,not an expert on how these care facilities work but I would consider Whitney as descent at best ,guy at nurse station was horrible and communication was terrible,only bright light was zeb in social services she was fantastic!!!!supper helpful and knowledgeable about everything it takes to help someone you care about,went there almost everyday for over a month and she seems to be the only one in the whole place that had any idea about what was going on definitely would giv... read more

My husband John was recently discharged from Whitney Oaks, transferred there from Mather Sacramento VA Hospital. He was receiving Physical Therapy Rehabilitation for weeks. The Nursing staff of RN's, LVN's and CNA's were giving him quality care 100% of the time for day shift. He did have issues of extended wait times during night shifts or not fulfilling requests. This is a great facility. They take great care of my dad. The staff is very friendly and always has the patients care in mind. The workers take time to get to know their patients. Very pleased!
We placed my brother in this facility to recuperate and rehabilitate after a life altering surgery. I did a walk through of the facility, peaked at the rooms to see if patients were being properly cared for and really scrutinized the staff and care. This was an A+ for me. My brother received white glove service, tender care and attention to all of his needs. This was a relief for me knowing whether I was there or not, he was being well taken care of.
