The food is not fit for a dog. Horrible response. Pressing the button does nothing. If I was having a heart attack I'd be dead. This place is so bad. This is a legit review. I've been in many snifs one review for one I went to said they would not send thier dog there. I went and it was great!!! Reviews don't tell the whole story. I can just add this one is legit.

Actually a ZERO ! My sister has been there for a week and I understand now why the rating are so low! There is no assistance for the patients that really need it ! Besides being fed there is no one checking on ANY OF THESE PATIENTS! 1 week of my sister being there and she's had no shower! She's on oxygen to stay alive & not in the hours at a time, that I have been there, has anyone checked on her! I have advise them because she keeps taking it off . I would never allow one of my family members or friends to EVER go to Whitney Oaks again. Kelly is very sweet and deserves 5 stars but everything else about the place deserves zero stars. Try getting someone to answer their main line to ask a question or get in touch with your loved one, that is your first challenge. Their discharge planner, Dbullied my family trying to place my father in-law in two different dumpy board and care homes. I am sure she is on commission, she didn't care about his well being.

There are zero stars for this dump. They make it look nice on the outside. Believe me it's not nice. Incompetent staff. My husband needed wound care 2 times a day. He was lucky to get it once every couple of days. He almost lost his leg to infection. He had an amputation on his right foot and another surgery on the same leg. The one on the leg became extremely infected. It spewed blood and pus when we got home. DO NOT bring your family members there.

My mom came here after having surgery. She stayed for two weeks. They only gave her one shower after we made them even though the doctors orders said that she needed to have at least 3 showers a week to clean her incision area. They did not give her any wound care on the weekends allowing her incision to get infected. When she would ask the CNA's for pain medicine or nausea medicine they wouldn't let the nurse know so my mom would have to sit in pain and ask several times. Worst experience EVER for my sister at a rehabilitation center. She is disabled and went to Whitney Oaks for three weeks of physical therapy after a hospital stay. She lives independently and her ability to transfer between her wheel chair and bed to use the restroom is critical for her to continue living this way. Her stay at Whitney Oaks was meant to build her strength back up. We brought our loved one here for physical therapy several days ago. He has nothing but good things to say about the the physical therapists. He also raves about the staff that works days on the 300 hall. I myself witnessed much kindness during the day. He said the nights are a different matter. With few exceptions he said they do not answer if you need something for almost an hour and they are extremely unpleasant when they do. Please do not choose this place for your loved one! If I had time to really research these facilities I would have never allowed her to go here. As of 5/31 they have the HIGHEST COVID OUTBREAK of all of Sacramento!! They are 11 up and counting and that includes my mother. They are completely ignoring covid protocol! Really disappointed with this facility and how it is managed. We have a loved one in this facility and communication is awful. We have called and left messages for management numerous times with no pickup or return calls. We've also seen them ignore CDC guidelines regarding COVID protocols. In addition, they are understaffed, so patients often don't get the attention they need in a timely manner. Chris- this is Jason- you've got my phone number, all you've got to do is return my call.
