I have been using Yorkville Animal Hospital since they opened. It is a great convenience for me as they are open 7 days a week and do not require an appointment. They take care of my 13 year old Yorkie and bearded dragon. There is a staff of veterinarians so you do not see the same person each time, but they are all great people and very competent. I also use YAH for my grooming and boarding needs. The grooming is a bit on the high side, but my Yorkie always comes out looking beautiful. They also use hypoallergenic sup... read more

I have never been to a better animal hospital in my years as a pet owner. The doctors and staff treat my pets and me like family and with the utmost respect. I have been going to Yorkville Animal Hospital since they opened and they should be proud of what they do for their community. The doctors are straight forward and easy to understand. Their diagnostic procedures, treatment and care are state of the art and everything I want for my family. Also, it disturbs me that people would say that their prices are unreasonable. I... read more

We own rats and mice so we needed a exotic vet we found VCA channohan animal hospital it was aweful!!! A normal exam for a cat or dog 50 dollars for a exotic? 60 dollars! It was insane not only that we had to call to make a apointment so after driving a hour there, waiting a half hour to be seen, a half hour seeing the vet, and then a hour home it was a very stressful experiance for my animals and a costly bill up to 100 each time we went. We heard about Yorkville Animal Hospital and learned they take exotics. We love we ca... read more

Don't listen to any of those who dis this place, we have been taking our dogs here since they opened the doors and we have never had a problem. Always remember there are two sides to every story. If you are not convinced go their yourself and find out, you won't look back.

Every time we're in there, the people are very nice and compassionate. We recently had to put down our beloved doxie of 19 years. They are very caring people.

The facility is beautiful - it's like a spa. As with most businesses there are a few staff members who lack customer interaction skills. I've been there quite a few times and have seen at least three different vets. Some are more personable than others, but they all love animals and really that's all I care about. You can't beat the hours here - no appointments, just walk in. We began taking our puppy here when we first got him, and then when one of our cats had an emergency we brought her there and they took good care ... read more

I have two dogs that I love like my kids, and have been using Yorkville Animal Hospital for a couple of years now. I love it. The staff is always friendly, and cares about the animals and giving them the best care. I love Dr. Murphy, and having a place where I can board the dogs where their vet is present is awesome. Veterinarian service prices are good, boarding rates are excellent, my dogs both get excited when we pull up. I've moved to Lombard recently, but still plan on taking the dogs there (over an hour away.) ... read more

I truly can not say enough good things about Yorkville Animal Hospital. It is over an hour away from where I live, but their service and compassion can not be beat. On Saturday, one of my dogs displayed some strange unusual behavior. He could not close his mouth, was drooling thick, foamy saliva, had a goopy eye and would not stop drinking water. We rushed him to the emergency vet who could offer no solution or remedy. Our regular vet does not keep Sunday hours, so I was fortunate that Yorkville made accommodations for us... read more

On July 31st 2025 my beloved 9 year old Yorkie died on a cold exam table. Her name was Zoey and she was a beautiful, wonderful gift full of life. She was very ill and needed a Life Saving Surgery. Her Dr that dreadful day was Stephane Orwalt and she was trying so hard to save her life for me. And for that I am very grateful. Unfortunately the price was a small fortune and the manager who was quoting the large sum for a 7 pound dog was too busy eating her Adult Happy Meal to come to the back of the exam room and speak to me .... read more

Business response:

We’re truly sorry for the loss of your pet. We understand how heartbreaking and emotional these moments can be. During your visit, our team discussed the situation with care and compassion. A manager did speak with you directly to explore available options, including a payment plan and a discounted price, in an effort to support you during a very difficult time. Ultimately, the decision to proceed with euthanasia was made by you and your family after reviewing those options. While we always hope for a different outcome, we... read more
