Please stay away from this Hospital!!!! I wish I did!!! I lost my little female dog yesterday on July 31 st. I went and waited for 3 hours to be seen and once the Doctor saw her she told us she needed to have immediate surgery otherwise she was going to die. And the life threatening surgery was a small fortune for me as times a very difficult. unfortunately the cold hearted manager did not come speak to me and the hospital wanted the money up front. 1. FRONT DESK chronically ignores customers waiting in line right in front of them to check in or pay. As other Reviewers have mentioned, pricing is never clearly explained and they have a difficult time executing our simple and repeated requests like Emailing test results to us, adding current weight and visitation notes to invoice receipts, Etcetera. i had brought my animal there for several months with UTIs, months and months of visits and a request for a simple blood sample and they ignored my request. the vet at the last visit told me "they have been doing it wrong" and needed her to come in for a urine draw from her bladder. meanwhile they have been treating her with the same antibiotics that didn't help her at all. Vets were great. This review is strictly regarding the front desk girls who work here. There is no common understanding on price. I went here 3 total times for the same exact thing and every single time I went to check out the price was different ($26 first time, then $48, then $79!!!). It was not a small difference! I visited this animal hospital for the first time to pick up my daughter's kitten and the two women at the receptionist desk were not friendly. There was one person being assisted when I walked in and NO ONE acknowledge that I was there even though I was in their line of eyesight. A male came out of the room and the other woman that was there started assisting him. My dog is still thriving and got way better, I'm glad we didn't listen to dr. bell. She's just a money hungry evil women, we spent $1,000 just for a checkup and for the injection to stop my dogs seizure and she still insisted that we euthanize my dog for about $300 more. Please.. for you and your dog's sake, stay away from Yorkville Animal Hospital. A few years ago we took our health puppy here to get spayed. After the procedure we took our dog home. I woke up the next morning to find our dog had died. I took our dog to the animal hospital before our kids woke up to dispose of the body. The representative must have forgot to tell me that they were sorry but she did not forget to try to cross sell me on an urn, etc. what really made me mad was the dog still had the cone around its head from the surgery but that didn't seem to matter. If I could give it a zero I would. I got a quote to get certain shots and spade. They gave me different answers every time. I told them I did not want blood work for this 2 year old cat and they were angry and said would you put your child through surgery without a blood test. What a horrible comparison. I told them I did not want it and to mark it on the file. They did the blood work anyway because the person that dropped off the cat did not tell them.
