Proprietary hoses do not last I've had this cleaner for about year and every hose segment has had to be replaced. The rapid deterioration of the hoses is one problem, but the main problem is the replacement hoses are extremely expensive. A new set of hoses is almost as much as the cleaner. When I bought this thing I didn't expect I'd be dropping this much money every year. Cleaner is ok, not great but ok. Hoses are garbage.
Hose is cheap and breaks The actual main component works well if there isn’t a new crack in the hose. There’s a new crack every day. I just started using the sweep about 4 weeks ago and I’m down 5 hose pieces. Constantly having to trouble shoot. I just took all the zodiac brand hoses off had I’m using an old one I had that holds up much better. Just waiting for the adapter attachment to crack now. I got that two days ago. I’m sure it’s coming.
Annoying issues Was okay In the beginning but after about a month the unit is constantly getting stuck ether on my steps or on the corners of my pool ( I have a rectangle pool ) now the main issue is the rubber tracks keep coming off and getting stuck in the unit itself and then just sits there sucking water and not cleaning. Over all pretty annoying, should have just spent the extra couple of hundred bucks and get a real reputable unit. But hey to each there own
Need help to have it work correctly. Leak in line, causing air bubbles and noises in filtering system.
Only lasted a few weeks! The gear box in the unit started to jam after a couple of weeks. I’m sending it back as defective and trying one more time with a new unit. When I installed the unit, it worked great for a couple of weeks. It climbed the walls and easily got out of corners. I will write a new review once I see how long the replacement lasts. Chuck
It really sucks!! Mr Klutz, me, put this baby together. And it has worked great. It sucked so much that we had to adjust the suction at the pump. Turns out we have very leafy neighbors that float into our pool which are cleaned out every day. If you are looking for a suck worthy cleaner, than this is the one for you.
Fails to Perform - excessive wait times for refund! The product "bound" from the outset. Wheels did not move freely regardless of flow setting. That leads me to believe this company does NOT have quality control inspectors or they are simply hoping for a "best" outcome. To reach someone for troubleshooting was less than favorable as far as wait times and the need to have a call back. Do Not Buy if your dog goes in the pool I purchased this cleaner to replace my 11 year old Hayward pool cleaner. I wanted to try something different and the reviews were good on this unit. My Hayward would get jammed up with rocks the dogs would kick in the pool, but that was about it. It just worked for 7 years, then needed to be repaired. Then at year 11 it needed to be rebuilt. Quite disappointing I was excited of taking my first step into motorized vacuums but this was quite dissatisfying. Suction power is fine but the effectiveness of the vacuum is the question. It would take my vaccine upwards of 4-5 hours to clean my pool which would be fine if the vacuum wouldn’t climb the wall and find was to get above water almost constantly. The unbearably slow pace combine with the required amount of babysitting makes this unusable.
