Works great, easy to install This my second time owning, the last one lasted at least 5 years. It does a great job cleaning my pool.
2nd Cleaner Zodiac pool cleaners are the best.This is my 2nd purchase.The first unit lasted 6 years with 1 repair overhaul 3 years ago.
Worked right out of box I replaced a smaller MX6 with this MX8 because small leaves, twigs. etc., were clogging it up. I removed the yellow tab in the MX8 to make the suction opening larger, and only replaced the new unit head and so far after a couple weeks it is working perfectly. My leaf catcher basket shows the results after our recent California Santa Ana winds.
Zodiac works great I have had several Hayward suction vacuum units that did a poor job in my pool. When I read that this unit climbed walls and worked on low suction I found it hard to believe. I have had the unit for over a month and it works great.
Work good for a concrete pool . Works good but doesn’t go up corners that well but other than that satisfied . Thank You
Great pool vac… note that you need to replace the black wheel bands/tracks annually…. I bought this in 2008 and I’m still loving it… it gets corners, climbs walls, easy to use, etc… I live in Las Vegas, so the blue color has faded significantly but that’s due to Mojave Desert sun…Some notes:-after one year I had to replace the guts, but haven’t had to since.-after a year, I noticed that the unit wasn’t moving, and tried a million ways to get it to move… nothing happened… then I realized that the black rubber wheel bands/trac... read more
Mostly Great. Struggles With Steps. This cleaner does a great job of keeping the bottom of my pool clean. It easily works its way out of corners, unlike my previous cleaners. The only issue that I have is that it will not climb the pool steps. Since I can manually clean the steps with my pool vacuum, I am not overly concerned about that shortcoming. I am generally very pleased with the performance of the cleaner. Easily the best one that I have used.
Wow. The best I’ve ever owned Like many of us, I have owned many cleaners as they typically don’t last long and you get tired of rebuilding them. No matter how many I have owned, they all got stuck at some point in my pool. This one is the exception. It has not gotten stuck once. The reason is because after a few minutes it rotates in one direction and then another. This does the trick every time. Easy to repair and rebuild if needed I bought a used one to save money. Packed with all parts. Looks new. Easy to set up with video's. When I tried it in my pool, it didn't work. It went in circles and stoped. Kept getting stuck. I watched a couple trouble shooting video s and figured out the problem. I had to replace the drive A gear set.
