Wow. The best I’ve ever owned Like many of us, I have owned many cleaners as they typically don’t last long and you get tired of rebuilding them. No matter how many I have owned, they all got stuck at some point in my pool. This one is the exception. It has not gotten stuck once. The reason is because after a few minutes it rotates in one direction and then another. This does the trick every time. Additionally if you have a 2 speed pump, it works like a normal cleaner when the pump is on low. All of my other cleaners would b... read more

Easy to repair and rebuild if needed I bought a used one to save money. Packed with all parts. Looks new. Easy to set up with video's. When I tried it in my pool, it didn't work. It went in circles and stoped. Kept getting stuck. I watched a couple trouble shooting video s and figured out the problem. I had to replace the drive A gear set. The replacement part was cheap and redally avaiilable. The cleaner is simple to repair with video. I am still at less than cost of new. Worked great climbs walls and cleans whole pool exce... read more

Better than the Barracuda G3 by far I had 2 barracuda G3's before this. They were a poor comparison to the MX8. To give context of where the MX8 will shine and where it will not.Bad: small flat pools, large (oak or maple) size leaves. Overkill for small pools, and big leaves can choke it.Good: Large pools. I am using it with a 25,000 gallon 9ft diving pool. The barracuda would never go to the shallow end because of a steep incline and "hose memory" issues. The mx8 goes EVERYwhere and can climb. It won't do steps, but no pool... read more

Works So far it’s been about almost a year and I have to say it works flawlessly. I must say one negative about it and that is it doesn’t like large leaves, I don’t have any trees to speak of but my neighbor does and some of the leaves land in my yard. This isn’t a huge problem just clean it out and drop it back in and away it goes. Keep some extra tracks on hand as they do wear out about every 4 months but they are relatively cheap and very easy to change. All in all it’s a great product.

Keep an eye on it Sometimes product just stops moving. Have to get out of pool and turn blades to get unstuck. Will hear a click when doing this. Yes, plenty of suction and wheel rotation when moving. I have yet to see it climb up and do my stairs although it days go up my walls after it’s been running for a while. Can’t leave it or have to check on because it stops moving. Also, product must be directly over debris to suck in. Will not draw in debris outside of that. Be patient with it because it’s pattern is all over and m... read more

The first cleaning floored me. Like a new pool Be mindful that my review is just the first day. I will write again in a couple of months to discuss the longevity of the vacuum.I really like how easy this was toPut together. Being a new pool owner I was worried about what to buy. After reading several reviews and then seeing it for myself.. we bought the right one. Cleaned our messy, dirty pool in one day.Going to put it away now and clean the pool every 3-4 weeks now. So simple to use.

Meh It vacuums decently, I even had a professional come install and I have new equipment all as of 2020. The tracks wear out FAST and you need them for it to honestly work at all. Clearly. Anyways, the rotating teeth underneath slightly fight each other with water currents making it miss medium size leaves and up. It doesn't do the chopping motion you would assume. The horizonal wheel in the middle spinning perpendicular to the bottom teeth really just clog the vacuum up if it gets into more than light leaves. Even if too mu... read more

Work horse We have a pool with steps that are in corners of the pool and this is a sweep that does not get stuck in the corners. It will turn and re-position itself to continue the job that it was intended to do. This is a more expensive unit than the many other sweeps that I have tried but it is the last one that I will need to try. It makes the rounds in the pool and keeps the dirt out, the pool looks clean all of the time. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a really reliable pool sweep. Mine has been in us... read more

Great Cleaner This thing works great. Easy set up and started plowing away right out of the box. My pool is now spotless 24/7, as I simply leave it running all the time. Cleans right up to the water line, and usually makes it up onto my steps and benches, as well. Excellent value.Update. The clip that holds a wheel fell off, causing the wheel and tread to fall off. Sellers response? Call the manufacturer. So I’m taking stars off for crap customer service. Such a simple issue, and they do not care.
