We're able to see other staff members if they are on the phone, busy, away,or don't disturb. Also able to send instant messages instead of calling.

Just one simple explanation , virtual land lines allows you to be on the go and not be strapped by cables and phone lines it's "freedom on the go" and I like that

I love the fact that I can have two separate phone numbers with different area codes as my business has clients in two neighboring states that is easier for them to contact me from and that I have one voicemail set up for both lines making it easier for me to retrieve messages.

I am sorry. I love 8x8 and have used it for personal residential use as well as now using it in a business environment. While I think it is a good service, please find a way to work with my network guys (everything we do is virtual, VOIP, etc.) so I can see the REAL incoming number? My guys tell me it's all on 8x8 and there is nothing I can do. Working in customer service answering incoming calls, it's a drag to see my own number as caller ID.

I love that over 3 years ago your sales staff sold me several services for which I had zero need. I love that you have completed refused to address this matter and completely refused to refund well over $1,000 in what I consider to be fraudulent billings. I love that you expect your customers to have a VERY high level if IT and telephone training so that we are not deceived by your sales people on whom we should be able to rely for honest advice when we call in. This system has revolutionized our office productivity. Before we had two lines and we were constantly having to answer the phone for other people and take messages. It would interrupt everyone's workflow and grew to be quite frustrating. We also work events on the weekends and have a few contract workers who don't come in the office very often. We had an in-office phone server prior to switching to 8x8, mainly because we are a medical office and I was concerned about HIPAA violations with a cloud based server. I do not have an answering service so I use the auto-attendant to direct after hour calls. Unfortunately we had constant problems with that system. Call quality was less than ideal. After-hour calls were redirected from the extension within the office, and periodically the extension would simply decide to go offline and patients would be left with no way ... read more
