I'd like to give a BIG shout out and "Thank You" to Patty and Alona at A-1 for helping me get a storage unit, making the process seamless, and working with me during last minute changes I needed to make. I recently conducted a military coast to coast move from VA to CA. This place has been problem free thus far. Clean facility and staff are friendly. There are push carts in the elevators to help with loading and unloading your stuff. The dumpsters are always full and it seems people throw away a lot of oversized garbage.

So far, I have nothing but good to say about this company. Currently I have another storage space at Public Storage but I hope to move everything into A-1 soon. That's because I can't get out of Public Storage fast enough. A-1 lets me pro rate when I pay my bill. Just like all my other creditors from T-Mobile etc. But I end up paying a late fee every month with PS because they don't have that option. I found this storage company here on yelp and mentioned to this them. They failed to mention there was a yelp coupon offer though. Guess that's my bad. The small unit ended up costing about $70 a month. The people that work here are very nice but they failed to tell me when I signed up and made my first payment it's not on autopay. I was expected to make a payment every month. Which is fine but they need to inform the customers of this. Apparently you need to ask for an autopay form. A1 storage has been there for me through some very difficult times in my life! I have been using this location as my go-to storage facility off and on for the past 4 years! I love the location and the cleanliness and accessibility of the facility have been the stay factor for me! After searching and calling storage facilities all around San Diego, I finally found the perfect situation for me. From leaving messages to wrong numbers, I was starting to think maybe I should consider other options as I would only need to store my furniture for about a week or two. My experience was excellent from the initial phone call. I've had a storage unit here for the past 4 years. Never have had a single issue, and the ladies are amazing and very helpful. Unlike some other storage facilities that do not provide a dumpster this one does, so if you need to throw stuff out you don't have to take it back with you. In these 4 years I've seen my rent go up quite a bit, but I also learned to just pay in advance and that way your old rate is honored. They also offer Military discounts.
