Recently put in a new AAA security system. It was great ... until it was not! My router for the internet went down and they had to put in a new router. Because they put in a new router, I had to pay someone $125.00 to come out and reprogram the cameras. I have not even had this system 6-months. Total rip off. This is how they get more money out of you - with hidden costs! Very dissapointed and will be looking for a new system once my contract is up.

I was with Safeguard security for my home for years and then about 5-6 years ago it was taken over by AAA Smart Home. Granted, years ago the systems were not as high tech, required an electrical connection rather than battery, yet were way more functional and reliable. They charge a service fee of $125 and didn't provide any service. They said my problem was due to cell service in the area. I think service fee should have been reduced. Also, technicians are nice but not well trained...didn't resolve my issues, even after 55 mins on the phone
I wanted to update my review. After posting my review , I was contacted quickly about the situation. Robin contacted me and looked into my account and everything that had happened. I received a call back the very next morning. Robin was able to go over my account and resolve the issue and was very apologetic. I understand AAA home security is fairly new. Do not I repeat do not use AAA for home security. I set up what was supposed to be three cameras around my house. I was told there was no contract. I could stop at any time. Free of charge. Technician arrived at my house. Had no idea what he was doing. Told me he could only put an a doorbell camera, which took quite a few hours to even do that. Last couple of months have been reviewing cameras for home security & liked what AAA has to offer. Price was reasonable, installation went smoothly, techs were knowledgeable & kept me apprised as to what was being done--very professional.
Just had system installed 3 days ago, having nothing but problems. Just tried to call in another problem only to find out the office is closed on Sundays. WTF!!! Going to do everything in my power to cancel this ASAP!

GARBAGE!!!!! DONT DO IT! I love AAA, but their home security system is a useless scam. I bought the system primarily to secure 2 doors. Unfortunately,those 2 doors trip the alarm every time the wind blows, so I have to bypass them. I wasn't informed that the City I live in requires me to register a home alarm system, so I am required to pay the City in addition to the monthly monitoring.
