Very kind customer service... that's the good part. After decades of being a customer... and the last several months of receiving calls from salesmen offering higher internet speeds (we are on a no call list) we finally went for the 10 mbps, up from 3. A very kind technician came and worked that out at the house, saying he could only bring it up to 7, as there was an error measuring of a distance to their headquarters. Way to go ACS. Put in a cancel and turned in the modem at the same time. Said all was set. Come to find out it wasn't cancelled. CSR on phone was very nice and understanding. She found out what happened and admitted that it was ACS's mess up. She talked to her supervisor and was told that they can not make it right and credit back the month that it should have been cancelled. Really? Can't be credited! So, in a nutshell. ACS makes a mistake and the customer still has to pay for it. Nice business model!

Cancelled service 8 months ago. Was told didn't have a remaining balance. Then called by collections saying I owe. ACS apparently can not pick up a phone! Horrible customer service.

I have been waiting for a refund check after cancelling my service in April 2014. I was told I had to wait 90 days after closing my account before they would issue the check which already made me unhappy. They have stated they mailed me 3 checks and never received a single one. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get my money back? Most recent correspondence came today and they stated they would issue another check within the next 2 weeks and will send it regular mail yet again, no tracking or anything. After 12 years with ACS I am leaving them and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. First, when I joined them I took the 1mB DSL. For the last three or four years I have been waiting for them to up their speeds. Finally this summer I am told there is a project to increase speed in our area, but it's 18-24 months away. I'm tired of waiting, so we changed to GCI about two months ago. Great speed and customer service there. I used to love ACS, and there are still employees that will always be my friends, but I am extremely disappointed lately in ACS. From closing offices that were always busy so that we have to jump through hoops to pay bills or get problems solved. To now, I find out that just to change my plan, I have to pay off the contract on my phone! It never used to be that way. It's absolute BS that since you offered higher speeds. It essentially makes it impossible for people in North Pole to use your service. That's a f***ING stupid business decision there...

Original Feedback: The only positive thing I have to say about this company is that after having problems with their wireless MiFi service, they let me out of my contract with no cancellation fee. I just received notice m that my account bill is overdue and if I don't pay in the next 10 days, that ACS is sending my account to collections. I find this interesting as I have yet to receive a bill from ACS telling me how much I owe them.
