Longtime Alexander’s fan and hate to say it but not a good experience. Maybe it was a Monday but we booked a table for 4 for our 34th wedding anniversary and it was decidedly underwhelming. Acknowledge the anniversary upfront but that was it. Food was salty and the service mediocre at best.

Our party of five was nicely dressed and celebrating a birthday. One person in our party was wearing a driver’s hat. The hostess asked him to remove his hat while dining. He did remove his hat, but we noticed other diners wearing athletic shorts and tshirts. It is ridiculous that the restaurant was so focused on his hat when clearly there were other diners more casually dressed. It is acceptable to have a dress code, but it should be clearly communicated to guests during the reservation process.

Server was not attentive. The drink order didn’t come until we asked about them and the appetizer was already served. When the drinks finally came, the waitress threw the bartender under the bus for the length of time it took, but we could tell the drinks had been sitting at the bar for some time - ice was melted in the mixed drink and the frosted champagne flute was no longer cold. All of our entrees were terrible and the service was poor and extremely slow. I excepted way better food for the price tag but we were very disappointed. I would not return.

We requested our favorite server but the host seated two other tables immediately before us. What was the point of the request???? Very disappointing evening.
The food is good, but we were unfortunately seated in the bar area. There were several extremely loud men, literally yelling, which seriously detracted from the whole experience. Several other couples were also seated there, so beware. Best to ask not to be seated in the bar. Bars can be loud, doesn’t seem a good choice to seat people there for a nice dinner.
