We were in a rare circumstance of moving twice in a two week period. After bearing a few other moves prior, it was necessary to consider hiring professionals, as the back and knees are not in good shape. DO NOT USE I originally posted this other places last year and only now thought of posting on Yelp. Sad to see I'm not alone. On Saturday November 9, 2024 I hired All My Sons Moving and Storage (AMS) to move my furniture from a storage unit to my new apartment which are 5 minutes from each other. I just seen a video on Facebook when three gentleman movers were moving a piece of furniture up the stairs and one of them starts fighting with another gentleman and that person just dropped the piece of furniture on the ground. And then he left called him a bad black name. Listen customers pay alot of damm money for movers and if you did that to me I would definitely sue your company and you wouldn't get a dime from me. I'm very happy I never hired you all. People look at the video and don't hire this company!!!!
This company is extremely dishonest, with the worst pricing practices I've ever experienced. They bait you with a low quote to secure the job, then dramatically increase the cost once they have your belongings. The extra charges for tape and packing are outrageous, and the fuel surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the total bill rather than actual mileage, which makes no sense. We moved in November using this company and I would rate 0 stars if I could - do not use this company. The movers themselves were fine - no items broken or lost. However the interactions I had with the management office were terrible. Intake for asking about the size of our move was insufficient and the movers showed up very unprepared for the type and amount of things we were moving (which is not their fault). Completely Dishonest company. The 2 movers were clearly instructed to take their time. They moved as slowly as they could. They wrapped items that did not need to be wrapped and placed items that were already in boxes into their own boxes. One of the men was mostly keeping track of the packing material. I hired this moving company hoping to make my move less stressful, more efficient, and easier on myself and my loved ones. What I got was the exact opposite. If I could give zero stars, I would. Save your money and go with someone else. They have the worst customer service! They had taken both doors off the refrigerator to move it down a flight of stairs, for which was not necessary! When it was delivered to my new address it was wrapped in plastic and a part of the freezer door connection was left on top of the fridge. Once it was unwrapped the freezer door fell off! The movers never told me that they lost a bolt to the freezer door. Because the part is no longer available I know have to purchase a new refrigerator.
